One of the things i really enjoyed about the OT and could relate to, was the obvious love for the ships that were in the films by the characters who used them. In Lucas film American graphitti the cars were a big part of the over film and in stars wars ot the same thing. Han and Chewies love of the falcon like it was a 65 mustang. Luke playing with a toy ship and talking about flying etc etc. The ships were a extension of the characters, without them nothing would ever have happend, there would be no film. maybe it is because it comes later in a period where ships are more scarce? But it seems in the new films that the ships are taken for granted(how do you spell granted?) im hopin that we get a few shots of Anakin workin on his new ride or something. There is no new ship that i can relate feelings to like a few cars ive owned in my time. Anyone else feel this way or have anything to add?
