I seen the first one and I loved it. I do know there was a game based for the first movie that got released early this past year. It will interesting to see where they go with the second one.

I love the 1st one too. My wife hates it though, probably because whenever it's on I will watch it. No agent Myers though in the trailer?

Loving this and I know the Wife will as well.

We loved the first one, and I have the first cartoon movie and want the second one, and will want this as well.

What would make it even better is if they brought 3 3/4 figures of these as well.

OK troops, as is often the case, I have your first review.  ;D  All I can say is AWESOME!!  I'm going to say a few things that may sound like hyperbole but I think this is a terrific film.  This may be sacrilege, but I liked it at least as well as Iron Man (and I loved Iron Man).  Outstanding action and hilarious as expected (all I'll say is Barry Freaking Manilow, y'all will get it later).  But I really think this story and Del Torro's direction made this movie thought provoking.  And yes, you read that right.   ;) Maybe I shouldn't have been so surprised after the powerful Pan's Labyrinth.

I went in with high expectations and they were surpassed.  So I guess I'm saying "Two lightsabers up!"

Yeah, this is one of the summer movies I DO want to see in theaters, since I DIDN'T get my chance to see "Iron Man" in theaters. I am NOT missing my chance to see this movie OR Indy IF it is STILL there at the theater, which I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't.

Yes it did. I just came back from checking it out, and it was a great film. I don't say that too often, but this was very entertaining. I loved it, and I hope they keep making more Hellboy films, as long as they keep making them as great as this.

No, never that!  I hate getting spoilers so I try to never give them.  Just a juicy teaser or two.  >:D  We go to a lot of movies these days so I try to share a little when I can.

A couple more thoughts about this movie.  I think it's a real shame this opened one week before the Dark Knight.  HB2, like every other movie that is out, will be swallowed and regurgitated by the DK.  I think it is good enough that had it had two or three weeks without a HUGE opener coming out behind it that word-of-mouth might have helped it make a lot more money than it will.

Also, I think I'm officially 100% on board with Del Torro now for the Hobbit.  My only reservations thus far have been that he would make Middle Earth and her creatures in his unique, twisted fairytale style instead of a classic, high fantasy style.  I have two reasons for changing my mind.  1) He's promised to not make the Hobbit too weird looking.  And 2) I don't care anymore if he does take a few creative licenses.  To me at least, after Pan's Labyrinth and HB2, he's earned the right.  Thoughts?

Well, I wasn't a big fan of Pan's Labyrinth. The initial word/review that I got of it said it was a fantastic horror film, but when I watched it - it was nowhere near what I expected. So that was a bit of a downer for me, and even tho the film is beautiful, my expectations were for something else, so my opinion of the film suffered for it.

That said, Del Torro has one of the craziest imaginations I've seen, at least outside of Japan (because if you're not a fan of Japanese film at this point, you don't know what you're missing). The creatures he created for HB2 (and PL) are quite simply amazing. Actually, the one creature that appears near the end of HB2 actually reminded me a LOT of the creature in PL.

But yeah, after watching these two films, I'm curious to see how much he can Del Torrify "The Hobbit" and get away with it, yet still remain true to it's roots.

Yeah, I can see how that would mess up your Pan's experience.  While it has its creepy moments, it's certainly no horror movie.  The step father/general guy is the real monster in that movie.

Is it just me or do Abe (HB) and the Pale Man (PL) look like brothers?

PL was a trippy movie and was not what we expected. Not a kid film at all.

HB2 was pretty good we all liked it.

I saw this the Saturday of opening weekend.

I loved it. It was absolutely a comic geeks dream movie. Bright, loud, funny, action packed, love story, it was.... just...damn ....good fun and worth the money.

I loved the fight between Mcfarlanes character and Hb...that was almost Tom and Jerry esk. Great slap stick.
