Picked this up in MR sale last week. You had to buy the CC membeship in 2005 to get it and now is as good a time as any especially with free shipping.

Yeah i have mine displayed in front of my Gentle Giant Maul statue which i think looks cool. The badge is still in the box though.

The same thing happened on my Darth Vader Ep IV saber hilt.  All this time I thought it was because of the relocation (from an arid climate to a cooler, drier one).

Im paranoid about sunlight so none of my mini sabers are exposed to it just like the rest of my stuff, hopefully they will be ok.

I was having this same problem and I replaced the three middle rigns with O-Rings I bought at the hardware store and now it looks just like it did when I bought it. I used (this is what the package said but Im pretty sure the only important parts are the numbers):
