The Rebelscum member Wclehmann wrote a short review of these new helmets - it seems they are somehow lower quality than Riddells:

1. They do not remove from the stands. They are stationary.
2. Vader is not the reveal. It is a single piece that, again, does not remove from the stand.
3. C-3PO's eyes do light up and says the phrases when motion activated.
4. The weight seems to be much lighter than the Riddells. Don't know if it is the materials (seem to be made of plastic for sure).
5. All of the electronics are in the base, and the speaker is in the top of the base in the rear.
6. The phrases are the usual ones: "I find your lack of faith disturbing" + others for Vader. And C-3PO gives his probability blurb + others. Good, iconic phrases were chosen. But the sounds seem to be a bit echo-y. A bit hollow. Especially the C-3PO.

If any of my radio shacks get them in I will pick them up. Since I already have the Riddle helmets I am not to concerned about getting these.

I might try to get the MR Vader helmet in the future, if a nice deal occurs. Otherwise I say pass.

I think the Vader looks really cool and if i saw it for a good price i would be tempted. Threepio looks kinda lame to me though, i dunno why.

I did pick up the C-3P0 and Vader. They are the same sculpts with different electronic features and paint jobs.

Also the Clonetrooper, 501st Clonetrooper, and Gree are shipping from MR. Mine should be here in the week.

Do these MR versions have all the cool inside parts done like the Riddell ones did? I think the insides of those helmets were my favorite part, even though you never see that while they are on display.

Yes they used the same molds as the riddle helmets. For the Clones I do not know, I am waiting for mine to come in the mail. I would say yes though.

I was thinking about getting one of the clone or stormtrooper helmets but I didnt. Please let me know what you think of them when they arrive.

If it's the same as the Riddell, then they are worth it. The Stormtrooper, Vader, Fett and even Luke X-Wing and Threepio from Riddell are ALL well made, highly detailed, excellent items.

Do these new MR scaled helmets come off the stands? Or are they permanently attached? Someone told me they don't come off the stands, that kinda sucks.

And please let me know if it comes off the stand. I really like the Riddell ones like these, and I so want to order the Gree, White Clone, 501st and Shocktrooper... but if they aren't removable from the stand that might make me change my mind.

I wish you could program the helmets to say different things. I always wanted to hear Darth Vader say "Yo momma's so ugly, she made an onion cry."

Vader would say "You momma so stank she took a Sith on the Rebel Alliance!"
