Found this over at Jedidefender.com...

Possible Endor Battlepack?

New possible battle pack images came in today, and seem to give the impression of an Battle of Endor styled battle pack. Featuring repacked figures as well as some kit-bashed and redecorated figures, it's definitely something that has some army building appeal. Note the battle damage on the Stormtrooper, Scout Trooper, and AT-ST Driver.

Few details are known besides these photos, but Jedi Defender will be sure to keep you updated as news comes in. For now though, check out the images below!

And A Hoth Battle Pack Too?

More images came in today of what may be yet another Battle Pack of figures. This time the Battle of Hoth seems to be the target for Hasbro. With a repacked Hoth Rebel Soldier, a kit-bashed Luke Snowspeeder Pilot (ala Zev Senesca Figure), a redecorated Major Derlin, and a Blue Coat Han Solo, the set really seems to feature a number of figures fans wouldn't mind owning. Note the grime and wear on the Luke figure, but also the difference in orange color from the jacket to the pants, just like in the film!

Ill give my opinion now that I've posted the info and pix.

Well, they look good overall. And, most importantly, they have troop building potential.

Let's start with the Endor pack...
The ATST driver looks good, nice pick. Chewie... we dont really need yet another Chewie fouling up a battlepack. I love the character but seriously, theres only so much you can do with him and he's everywhere. They should have gone with an... Ewok (shudders as I type it), it would have been a more sensible fit. The Han looks great. Is it a repainted VOTC? Ive never seen that figure. The troopers are nice additions. The scout looks great, hopefully its the flip up visor version from the EP VI Tin. The Stormie's weathering just doesn't look right to me. It doesn flow well.

Now, the Hoth pack...
First comment... WTF! Where is the Snowtrooper! Kinda pivital to the Hoth battle! Hello! Even if they wanted to be cheap a$$'s about the cost of the new VTAC Snow Trooper, they could use the EP V Tin Snow Trooper which was a perfectly acceptable figure. The VTAC Han with the blue jacket is a must! Looks fantastic! The Luke looks good however, the complete lack of articulation is a waste. I think no comment need be made about Cliff Claven but, I will anyway! Hasbro must have had the overflow of that useless figure returned to them from the retailers and they figure the best way to get rid of them is to put them in a battlepack as a waster. Cuz thats the ONLY way people will but it. The rebel trooper is a nice addition to the fans of those Rebel Scum. I can live without it. I guess Hasbro really needs to update that figure though. It is very much lacking.

Anyway, that's my take assuming these aren't works in progress or some fanboys customs and a floated rumor.

I can't believe they would pull out a POTF2 like figure rather than remake a good Hoth Rebel Trooper. That figure sucks, here was a great chance to articulate a trooper for multiple poses, instead we get that? I like the majority of the other figs however.

First off NOT another Han and Chewie! AAAARGGGGGGG! Second while the AT-ST Driver looks ok the only figure worth a damn in that BP is the Scout Trooper! Second the blue Han looks cool and is expected since it's been a variant since the old days, but that luke while different and a need figure really lacks for one he has the wrong head he should have an ESB head! Major Derlin is ok for a repaint nice background filler but that horrendous hoth troper needs to Go! Shame on you Hasbro

I realize these BP's are repack bread and butter but you could have at least put the Saga Hoth trooper in their and gave luke the VTAC head! Not to mention you should stop using Han & Chewy for BP's everyone has enough of them!
How about giving us Lars Homestead Padme, EP3 Evo Anakin, Yaddle, Even Piell, or someone else please!

If these BP's are legit, they are just new enough with the AT-ST driver, the 2 Hans, and the Luke to get me to buy them. More Chewie and Derlin is a frakkin' waste of perfectly good BP space however.

Nice BPs, Both Hans look great. I like the loose belt on the Endor Han, and I agree with the insertion of an Ewok and Snowtrooper in these. Also the Rebel snowtrooper looks retarded.

Frankly, if you bought an airbrush and did a little custom work, you could do better than these figures. I liked the cinema scene/battle pack concept at first, but the offerings have not interested me in a long time. Maybe, these things appeal to kids because in one purchase they can have all the figures to recreate a movie scene. I think that I would have liked that as a child.

I only get less then 50% of them. Most are too much of a repack, but some are just repainted enough.

I'm really torn on the BP's this year. When they announced them earlier in the year, I saw the figs and immediately said I'll pass. But the pics look like they have done some retooling, which means I will get them.

The only one for sure I'll pass on is the Bespin Betrayal. I know Hasbro has a rule for the # of figs in a pack, but doesn't Lando belong in this pack? If they can't commit to doing a specific scene semi-correct, then don't do it. It's called the Bespin Betrayal right? WHO did the betraying?

Stormtrooper - love the sculpt, hate the "dirt" on it
AT-ST driver - love the figure, hate that head though
Chewbacca - I didn't know he was that orange... plus why this older sculpt?

Han - don't really need more of this... he was a pegwarmer clearanced down to $2.00 in my area at more than one place

The Hoth set had me even more frustrated -

Han - ok, blue it is for the coat in this set, but I hope it's not that bright colored... and why's his hair look orange?
Luke - doesn't look too bad but the color change from jacket to the legs is a bit too much for me.
Derlin - at least give us a different head on this...
Rebel - YUCK, they pack in the WORST version possible??? What the heck Hasbro, why not a couple Snowtroopers or something?

Ya the rebel definatly could have been better and it would have been nice to have a different head on Derlin so we had a different rebel officer. I do like the color change on Han's jacket and at least we are getting a good sculpt of him

I agree, a Snowtrooper in the Hoth pack would make it a lot more interesting and get rid of the Rebel trooper , replace him with a much better or make over version...

Hasbro has said numerous times in their Q&A sessions that the photos don't always reflect how the final product will look. they usually run thru a few changes in paint apps and figure style before anything gets final approval. I could be wrong, but i doubt Han's coat and hair will really be as bright as all that, or that Luke will be carrying Obi-Wan's lightsaber.
I'm not too worried about Luke and his lack of articulation, actually. He'll be spending most of his time in a spare Rogue Two Snowspeeder I bought in anticipation of a figure like this. However, maybe with enough pressure from the fans, Hasbro might reconsider and retool him. I mean, Jesus, they should give us something after repacking Cliff and that Rebel Trooper! I'll buy both BPs for the figures i want and use the rest for custom fodder.

Hasbro seems to be at a loss for naming these things. "Bespin Betrayal" without Lando? in "Jedi vs. Sith" there are no Sith. Just a cyborg and a wannabe. In "Jedi vs. the Separatists" Darth Maul got tossed in with Padawanakin, and Mace Windu, when they probably could have tossed a kit-bashed Dooku in there and swapped the titles for better accuracy. But, oh well.

My real reason for this post is to ask my fellow Troopers what is all this controversy surrounding the colour of Han's winter coat? Before the VTSC Han came out, people started throwing hissy fits because his coat wasn't blue. Now his coat is blue, nobody seems to want him. What is all the hype over his coat? Honestly, it looked like a bluish-gray in the film.

Check the front page at www.yakface.com for more - it originated in a thread at RS.

But it looks like the turret is a repack of the old turret used in the POTF2 Hoth Playset back in the POFT2 days, but slightly modified and totally repainted. And the AT-ST sports a great new Hoth deco.

As for the figures, we get blue coat vintage Han, two vintage Snowtroopers, one POTF2 type Snowtrooper, some sort of AT-ST driver, at least one Rebel (repack it seems unfortunately), and perhaps another rebel at the top of the turret (hard to tell).

The pricepoint on this one, in my estimation, will be about $60.00 as it's a Target Exclusive... also remember last year's nice exclusive around the holidays; the Shuttle went for $60.00 and sold very, very well. So it looks like Target wanted something in that price range again in the OT era, and this is what Hasbro delivered.

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be legit - the TRU Geonosis Arena Beast Battle Pack is a similar offering and is in the $60.00 price range. I could see us getting a bit more bang for our buck at Target, since TRU has generally been higher with their exclusives (plus their regular battlepacks and vehicles are 20% higher price tag than Target or Walmart).

With this Geonosis Battle Pack I really think there could have been a couple of more things. Since it seems the big H likes too short cut us I guess this is all we will get for $60. In the past same Battle Pack previously they did have a more complete offering. Now it's a Battle Pack minus the towers and a few things.

Looks mlike it will cost 49.99 at target around the holidays. An at-st,(say $20) a turret($10) and 8 figures at lets underestimate and say $6 apiece 6x 8 =48 ....... so $78 bucks worth of stuff for $49.99

Why would they put the new vintage Han and Snowtroopers in an under-retail priced battlepack while they're still on the shelves and fresh releases for this year? This isnt a hoax not by a long shot this is the typical Hasbro of late. kitbash luke repaint han and bren throw in some other items and charge $60 bucks no way will they let this go for 50 whats the arena set at tru going for and thats what 2 large beast and deluxe carded beast and 3 (repacked for the how many times i lost count) figures. Since when was repacking figures that were just out into new stuff out of the ? for hasbro. Hasbro is starting to repack everything from EP1 forward. Soon we'll get a repack of POTF2 luke skywalker (BUFF LUKE)and hasbro will say its cause he looks like the luke portrayed on one of the original posters. oops i just gave them an idea lol

I'm excited about the Hoth set that comes out. The only thing I could do without is the AT-ST because I already have one. But the snowtroopers and the AT-ST driver is a plus. The other parts of this Battle Pack is very good for my collection. I don't have any Hoth equipment which I would be very proud to get. I am very disappointed that hasbro is doing this so late. I would have liked to get this first before any of the new Battle Packs. That way it would give me a chance to get this before the new ones.

This isnt a hoax not by a long shot this is the typical Hasbro of late. kitbash luke repaint han and bren throw in some other items and charge $60 bucks no way will they let this go for 50 whats the arena set at tru going for and thats what 2 large beast and deluxe carded beast and 3 (repacked for the how many times i lost count) figures. Since when was repacking figures that were just out into new stuff out of the ? for hasbro. Hasbro is starting to repack everything from EP1 forward. Soon we'll get a repack of POTF2 luke skywalker (BUFF LUKE)and hasbro will say its cause he looks like the luke portrayed on one of the original posters. oops i just gave them an idea lol

I can believe the $50 price tag. Everything at TRU is more expensive when it comes to exclusives. Hell they charge $5 more than Target or Walmart on the starfighters, so why wouldn't the deluxe Arena BP cost more than a Target deluxe BP?

True, it is expensive but it's worth it just to have 3 snowtroopers and a rebel hoth laser. I really like everything that goes with the Hoth pack except the AT-ST which I have. But I could always use another one as everyone else would say.

Ugh. I'll be passing on this set, without a doubt.

They could have made it a heck of a lot more appealing if in addition to the Anakin and the Destoyer Droid, they had included the following (or something along these lines) -

- Sun Fac (yeah, another repack but he's a great figure)
- Battle Droid x 2 (red droids from the assembly line)
- Factory Equipment Piece

It would have been cool to see this piece back in the mix, and a Battle Pack would suit the bill fine -

Or one of the conveyor sections from this image -

Heck, that big droid that drops 3PO would also be nice to get someday.

These figs from this battle pack are actually pretty good, it's just now that they have the alpha arc trooper mold they seem a bit outdated.

I'd go for that... I know a lot of people don't think that the inclusion of a bed would be interesting, but I think it would be great. Some sort of bed, with Padme able to lay down would be awesome - it could come packed like that with Anakin killing the kouhuns assassin centipedes, Dorme, Captain Typho, and Obi Wan jumping out the window onto the droid. To me that would be awesome.

Looks like we're getting some Stormtroopers repainted for The Force Unleashed push... I didn't see this figure mentioned anywhere, but I am **thinking** it might show up in the rumored Force Unleashed Battle Pack?

I'm finding myself liking the looks of this... though I know a lot of OT purists think it's blasphemy...

So did I as well, from what was told from toy fair this past Feb 07',they was suppose to come out this year. I really wanted Stap speeder pack more so then the Wampa but I was going to buy both anyway.
