Clone Wars series looks sweet!
« on: May 27, 2007, 12:41:58 PM »
Okay, I was not impressed when I saw the poster for C4 for the new Clone Wars series, but after watching the trailer, I must admit I am excited...

http://www.starwars.com/video/view/000478.html

Does nayone know what network will be carrying this? Fox (God forbid)? Cartoon Network (kinda violent for thm)? SciFi? G4 (hope not since many people do not get it, like me)?

I.. am... in... total... awe... right... now.  :o

That was by far way more than what I was expecting to get out of that! I was absolutely blown away, as I'm sure most of us will be after seeing that with our own two eyes. WOW!

Any idea when this is going to be released?

I would think it's coming in 2008. From the trailer and from a few interviews they seem to be coming along nicely.

This trailer is truly AWESOME.  :o
I love it.

Is there any truth in the rumour that Lucasfilm will make the entire show and then start a bidding war between the networks?
What if he doesn't survive?................D'OH

That is not true he hasn't found a network yet, heck maybe he should just form his own! ;D
The natural one would be FOX right, same company and all. I just hope it's no Cartoon Network as I do not have that channel!

This series look a lot more serious than the CW animated. I like the style and the tone ALOT. I have never been able to sit down and watch the CW stuff. I bought it on DVD and never made it through more than one episode before falling asleep. I keep telling myself I will sit down and watch it. Is it worth it?

I LOVE the old CW cartoons, although this one looks much more action-apcked. The old one was made more for kids, but there is good story and explains some stuff if you haven't read any o fthe books (like where Grievous got his cough and the story leading up to ROTS in the final season). I think you should try it.

30 minute episodes according to the producers at c4 and in the THX studio when they played this clip, I swear it made your mouth drop in awe, this is simply fantastic and in some ways it looks better than the movies, plus we get a lot more of these than the 2 hour films  8)

It is definately worth it. When this first came out, it was in 5 minute episodes, one a day. If you didn't get to the tube exactly at the right time, snooze you lose. It was over.
I was glad they came out on DVD.
If you are a fan of Samuri Jack you will like the artwork of the original CW animation.

I have cable and I cant even get it to load, mr. smartypants!
Is there someone out there who can DL it and make it availablt to those who cannot view it?
Or someone at SW.com needs to figure out the problem and fix it!

I am reading the Clone Wars series right now in Graphic Novels. For me, I am stoked about this new series coming out because the Clone Wars series is one that I LOVE. I am sticking to it untill the new series comes out, but others of comics I have been into and reading. This interests me more and I can't wait untill this comes out, then hopefully it is as I said before, gets on tv channels that I can get instead of cartoon network. Which I hope Nickelodeon gets it I hopefully.

stayed last night with my in laws and they have dsl and this bad boy loaded up for me. Awesome, I watched it quite a few times. This is gonna be cool. I love the looks of it. Less cartoony than the first series, but still has the anime effect. That shot of the atte climbing up the wall is awesome.
