I read on another thread there was going to be a Celebration 5 next year.
Is this true?
Any other news if it is?

I can't imaging there'll be another one so soon. If they're going to continue to do 'Celebrations' that actually 'celebrate' something, my guess would be the next one will be in 2010 for ESB's 30th anniv.

When C-IV was announced they also said there would be a C-V and C-VI. Supposedly next year and the following year. Both are supposed to be in LA.

Well, this could easily be factual if you put some thought into it for a moment. Look at how pathetic Wizard World conventions have gotten in the last three years, in relation to Star Wars. There's almost nothing relating to Star Wars at WW Chicago anymore, and I've heard the same at other conventions. I could see a Star Wars Celebration becoming a yearly event, which would be SWEET! This would be perfect for all us Star Wars fans to have our own dedicated show each and every year. Don't you think we deserve it? I sure do!

I really do not think this is true.  First I was at the Steve Sansweet panel at SDCC 2006 and future Star Wars conventions were disguised a little bit.  I took from the panel in the future there will be some more Star Wars shows but hose would be smaller regional events.  If there is another giant Celebration I am betting it will not be until the 40th anniversary.


In my opinion if this would become a yearly thing the convention would be somewhat cheapened.  I guess we will see when C4 hits whether or not there will be another.

Ron I am curious as to where you hear that about C5 as I can not find it in any official announcement?

Do not get me wrong I would love to know that in the future there will be more huge Celebrations but at least for the next couple of years I really do not think that will be the case.
