This exhibition opens in county hall westminster in London on Saturday 5th May. It is the second stop of a touring exibit that last year attracted over 150,000 visitors in portugal. The exhibit will be spread out through 12 rooms split into seperate zones including Tatooine, Naboo, Endor, Hoth, Coruscant, Kamino, Geonosis, Kashyyyk, Utapau and Mustafar. There will also be a projection room room which will be showing a documentary on 30 Years of Visual Effects in relation to the Star Wars films, optical illusions, picture overlays, pyrotechnics, stunt tricks, and other visual and special effects.
Visitors will also be able to experience entering the movies by trying a green screen that puts them side by side with the main characters of the saga and there will be a jedi training experience. Also on display will be an range of items from the Lucasfilm Archives in Northern California including original film props, models, art, vehicles and costumes from the entire Star Wars Saga. These objects will give visitors a rare glimpse into the making of the movies. One of the star items on display will be the spectacular life-sized Naboo N-1 starfighter. The exhibit runs from 5th May to 1st September and is open daily 10 am to 8pm. Tickets cost £16.50 adults, £12.50 child, Under 5 free.
