Sorry Dave that's the best I can do right now,

The endor bunker is easy as there wasn't a vintage version, The others I could tell you if I see them buy I do not have a piece break down, though that could be an interesting project for the future.

I have what appears to be speeder bike flaps that I picked up awhile back.

On the back of the flaps are what looks like id numbers or something.

One one flap the numbers are 663013 and on the other one is 663030 ?

My question are these for vintage or perhaps the POTF2 line of speeder bikes?

Any help would be appreciated.

Chris, those are for the vintage bike. I have mine in front of me right now and the serial numbers are the exact same as the ones you listed.

Thanks for the fast response Mike. I tried attaching them to my original speeder bike but they seemed not to "line up" or look right when on the toy.

These flaps I had seemed a little thick for what I remembered the flaps to be like back when I was a kid.

I got these flaps at the SuperMegaFest show last November when I found a dealer selling vintage stuff.

I wonder if they remolded them with a different plastic for the POTF2 version. I'd check my POTF2 versions for you but I sold them to Pete yesterday.

The POTF2 versions don't have the part numbers on them rather a C1 or C7 I beleive so the ones with the PN are vintage, As to them being to thick to fit, I am not sure on that one, possible repos? I don't know with out seeing them

How many different versions of the atat driver were produced? The fig and the cardbacks?

Well Shawn, there are 2 common vaiants of the ATAT driver, orange and red imperial logos on the helmet, As for cards, ESB ROTJ and POTF. The POTF carded fig is expensive to say the least as it was never released in the US and only offered in Australia. If you want a break down of card backs, I can gather that for you as well, but even on the ESB logo there are a few such as the Revenge of the Jedi logo, offerless and so forth

I have to find a pic, there is one at the archive, but even pics of them are not easy to come by. Put it this way Shawn, just to find one in any condition is a feat and the prices will be near a grand to start.

I have a question regarding cloth cloaks.

Can they be washed without shrinking , especially the Bib Fortuna cloak which feels "felty".

The one I have now looks like it was underneath a tire for a few years and it is crinkled and wondering if soaking it and washing it will relax the material and take out the crinkles.

And what cleaning agent would you recommend?

If you clean it with a dish soap and water solution you should be fine, letting it air dry won't shrink it.

Thanks I will give it a try and see what happens.  :)

Update:

Thanks your advice was great.

What I did also was let it soak in some warmwater overnight.

This allowed for the flattened  part of the felt that looked like creases in the cloak to absorb the water and become uncrinkled.

I then wrung out the cloak and layed it flat and put a heavy flat object to keep the collar shape correct and  the edges from curling up during drying and it came out great.

I wish I had taken some pictures so I could show a before and after, next time I have some restoration to do I will remember.

I have yet another question.

I just picked up a vinatge Yoda complete. But I was wondering if the cane that comes with it is genuine.

The cane has some slight flexibility to it not alot but a little bit. Is this original or perhaps a repro cane?

Thanks,
Chris

Yes, how does one tell the difference between a repro weapon/accessory versus a vintage weapon/accessory?

That question isn't so easy to answer. First there is the feel of the item, does it feel like your known originals or is it lighter, more brittle? Also is it in the correct colors?  Is it painted? if it is it's a fake, It's pretty hard to tell from a description so a pic is needed or to hold it in one's hand is better.

Also look at markings and comapre to this site

They do a great job of cataloging repos.

I got a Yoda in today but the skin color on the face is almost bright or fluorescent. the skin color on the hands and feet are like a dark green.

Now I have both version of Yoda but this seems like another variant or perhaps just age has altered its color but I don't know?

I would try and post a picture but I am unable I can send a picture to whoever is interested in seeing it.
