Vintage figure showcase week 6 Rebel Commando
« on: February 21, 2007, 03:02:05 PM »
Here for week 6 I have chosen the Rebel Commando as our figure of the week in honor of Darth Wormie who graciously donated this figure to me. Thanks again.

As far as Rebels go, this is one of my favorites. I've always enjoyed these and I have a bunch of them in my collection. Great figure to showcase!

A great rebel figure.

As a kid it was always weird using the hoth rebels to fight the empire until this figure came along.

I always thought his weapon looked a lot like it was a G.I.Joe weapon more than a Star Wars weapon.

Formerly "Mohawk-Elvis" or as a friend once said "Darth Identity Crisis"  :D

The figure is very similar to old GI Joe figures, including the gun.

A found memory i have of this figure:
One afternoon,  my cousin and I were playing SW and he left it too close to the stove where my mom was cooking.
We smelt something burning and his backside had melted ( it looks like he got shot in the rear), so I've had a "custom" battle damaged rebel for many years. LOL

This one has a slightly yellow bubble, a price sticker, and the POP is missing from the back. Other than that, it's in pretty good shape. Not a bad re-card for $10.
