So who here besides me has ordered one of the Signature Millennium Falcons from Master Replica?

I must be out of my mind ordering this thing. I do not know how I am going to pay for it yet but by far this is the most expensive and luxurious piece that I have ordered to date.

Lorn P. from LucasFilm who built the original Millennoum Falcon said that the MR version has the details even down to a misalligned allen screw head. He is very imprerssed with the item.

From what I know, the Falcon shown at ComicCon is not the final product. The final version will have a smaller base and might be lowered on the peg. At least I know someone who makes cases so I can get one off of him.

I'm sooo broke right now the IRS would feel bad for taking my money. I've never really got into the MR stuff other than the sabers. But there detail is really amazing!

Bloody Hell!! Today I signed for a big darn package. It is my Signature Edition Mill. Falcon. I got #211/500 not to bad. My friend John got his today as well. He got #65/500.
I do not care about numbers but I am happy I got the Falcon. It shipped much sooner than expected but that is allright. I saved up for it. So now I get to pay the big bill.

How much do those cases run? And, more importantly, that Falcon doesn't already come with a display case?!? For the price MR is asking you'd think there would be a case shipping with it.

How do you think the Falcon compares to the Y-Wing?

I just purchased the Y-Wing becuase I got a pretty could price on it and was a little disappointed. Compared to the prop model, the replica seemed to lack a little detail, and I think that the grey paint shade was a little too dark.

From the pictures that I've seen, the Falcon looks to be much better and closer to the actual prop model. Would you say that's true? Is the Falcon worth the money?

The original models that MR works off of are usually beat up. The Y-Wing model they worked from was a distant shot model and not the one of two you see at the traveling exhibits that have more detail. As for the M.Falcon MR worked off of one of the 18" models not the big detailed 5-foot model. So there are some differences. Overall the M.Falcon utilizes about 85% of original model parts to recreate it. The most accurate MR item to date. If you did not know Lucasfilm will not let any company get more than 90% accuracy to the original. There are many differences in any replica from the original.

Overall I think the money spent on the M.Falcon is worth it. I talked to Lorn Peterson at SanDiego and he said the accuracy was the best he has seen in any reproduction. He said the M.Falcon was better than the AT-AT, Snowspeeder, or Y-Wing so far. So yes in my opinion the M.Falcon is wrorth going into debt for.

Depending on what case you want from John at sgcases.net depends on the price. I got my case for the cost of the plastic since I helped him bend it. He is a good freind of mine. He is much cheaper than Philip Wise cases that are sold at RebelScum. I am happy with the cases John sells as are many people over at Rscum and on ebay (his ebay is kodofett). I know Philip and John are kind of in a war of who has better product. My money would go to John since he hands builds every case and base he makes. It take two to three days per case from start to finish. I have helped him on several cases so far and his attention to perfection is almost perfect. I do not think he has had anyone complain yet.

Wow! You know far more about the MR products than I've read anywhere else. I've purchased three MR products over the past month or so, and I really love this stuff. I just got the Han Solo ESB blaster, and it's pretty sweet. I think that the MR stuff is a little over-priced, but I've managed to get some good deals from ebay.

The Falcon looks really sweet. I will buy it one of these days; probably later in the year.

Yeah John and some others I know, know and talk with MR a lot. I pick up some tidbits here and there. If I have a question I can usually get an answer real quick.

If you want some 99.9% accurate lightsabers you will have to pay the money but search for a guy named Oz. He gets hands on privilages to the real things and his replicas are top notce. Due to price I will stay with MR.

I got a new job with a little more coin in my pocket, so I went ahead and purchased an MR Millennium Falcon off of Ebay last week. You can basically buy these things for half price now. They're still pricey but not a bad deal at a grand less than the original price.

In my humble opinion, there a few things people should know:

1) The shipping box is gigantic. GIGANTIC. All together, it weighs 74.8 lbs. There is a "smaller" box inside which containes the Falcon but even that box is pretty big.

2) Be very, very, very careful picking up the Falcon. I managed to break a little piece off of it by grabbing it in the wrong place. It's been fixed with some super glue, but I'm pretty mad at myself. Plus, there are directions telling you to have help when picking it up which I didn't read until it was too late.

3) I actually have a lot of picutres of the larger Falcon model made for ANH for comparison, and the detail on the MR Falcon is right on. If you like prop replicas, this is a must have.
