Man, I wish SDCC wasnt coming up, I think I would have this costume. It would be a good way to get me started into it even though my dream is atat driver and ofcourse sandtrooper armor.

While that is a nice item, I think that's a bit too much for it. And one thing I found odd about this auction, while looking at the bidding history:

Bidder 7 was the winner, with a bid of $1200.00 - but the second highest bid was only $650.01?? That doesn't make any sense... unless there was either 1) a reserve which isn't shown now that the item has ended or 2) a BIN, again, not shown now that the item has ended. I just thought this was odd:

Bidder 7     US $1,200.00 Jul-05-07 12:59:46 PDT View
Bidder 5     US $650.01 Jun-30-07 18:05:06 PDT View
Bidder 6     US $500.00 Jul-05-07 06:45:11 PDT View

I believe it was a reserve price. when you click on the number of bids, it shows the bidding history. If the bids shown are under the reserve, their names wont be shown.

Nice custom, a bit steep for my wallet.

I like the female trooper. He did a good job on that one. Makes you wonder where she puts all that hair when she has her bucket on though.

Wow, I guess the "armor" on the fem trooper doesn't protect her from much  ;)

I had a great find last week. It was for a SW MicroMachines Falcon with figs from the 80's line. The only thing it was missing was the ramp. It ended up going for under $30.

I lost out on a last-second bid. :'(

That's allright. I've never seen a stormie take a shot and not die immed so the less armor the better. I never did understand that.

The armor must be good only against arrows and rocks. But I think it's not good for those either. But looks good on troopers and especially on that custom. BTW no one says anything about the Turbo Tank ;D

You mean the MicroMachines transformable playset? I got mine for $15 long time ago. It's pretty cool, and in scale with MM figs. :)

Sorry, should have been more specific. It was the Micro Collection (from the 80's). It looks like this:

The Turbo Tank is sweet and looks pretty damn close to the movie version, with some creative licensing thrown in. Is that made from a GI Joe ship?

that female trooper was pretty darn good. that would make a good costume for some really good looking female. So what if there isn't much armor on there lol

the tank is really cool as well. I do think it is made from a G.I. Joe vehicle I just can't remember which one right now.

That femetrooper does look tight, although I have to say it's noth worth $130 based on just a paint app and two accessories. The R.O.C.C. does look good as a custom SW vehicle wich is why I bought one at HTS for $9.99, since they are blitzing out all their Joe stuff!

I won't slam others work but I will say if anyone here wants a Tie done, I can do it for a fraction of that price.

found this listing for a blue snaggletooth fig in decent shape. I wonder what the final bid will be?

Dave, price depends on where we are starting,

If you have the model kit ( which AMT sucks by the way) , I can assemble, paint and light it for about 30-35 bucks ( I am guessing right now), thats the cost of paints for the airbrush, the batteries, and led kits and a battery harness. However I am pretty confident I can also do it from the Hasbro Vaders tie as well, Maybe I'll dig up an extra and give it a shot

would Hasbro's work better?  could you do it with a Tie Bomber?

Actually the Hasbro version would be easier since I can just unscrew the halves and hollow areas out, The bomber would be even easier since I would have a larger area to put the battery pack.

Is this guy out of his freakin' mind?!?! Those are nice figures, but $4800 BIN?!?!?! Jeezus, some people just think waaaay too much of themselves. And on top of that, if you are stupid/crazy enough to spend $4800 for those, don't forget the $30 for shipping  ::)
