Q: What details can you tell us about the planned television series - which known and unknown characters will be in it?

Q: How does Hasbro determine the number of each figure in each assortment? Do some figures get single and others multiple production runs based on demand or projection?

Case and point: I figure the '06 Bren Derlin received only the initial production run, and there are no plans to produce more as he warms pegs everywhere. Similar to the N.Warrior in the ROTS line.

Q: Are there any plans to card a Jabba the Hutt in a large deluxe card or small vehicle format in the near future?

Q: Does your research on the demographics of SW fans show any trend that the percentage of older collectors is getting larger, and what if any plans are in the works for the aging SW collecting market. Star Wars licensed bingo dobbers maybe?

There was already a deluxe version of Jabba the Hutt from the later Saga series. Are you looking for something different than that one?

I'm a new collector. So I missed out on anything released before last year. What was the name of the line it was produced within and I can look for it on eBay or in collectable stores. I was interested because he seems to be the only major figure not to have been scheduled for a rerelease of some sort. Even the old Obi-Wan is being released with the soon to be released DVD figure packs - which I'll buy just to get him.
Thanks.

Please ask Hasbro when they will come out with a fully functional Imperial Walker with a Tamer figure.

Here are the questions & answers we have received from Hasbro today...

1) Will Bai Ling be made into an action figure or any of the other figures from cut scenes in the prequels?

No plans for now.  We won't be able to answer specific questions like this in the future ("When is character X going to be made?" or "Will character X be made?") unless we are close to announcing a specific wave or product.

2) I know the part was small, but then again it is Jeremy Bulloch and he is a major Star Wars icon.  Are we ever going to see a Captain Colton, Tantive IV Pilot figure with Bulloch likeness?  Bulloch has been behind the Fett mask for so long, I'd like to see a figure with his face, such as Colton.

He is a good candidate for a figure…but we don't have him lined up in the near future.

3) I have heard rumors and such for awhile on this, but is there ever going to be a Saga Cloud Car made for us?  We have seen the Pilot, the Lego version, the Action Fleet version, but no 3 3/4" version for us.

There are no plans for a 3-3/4" Cloud Car, but that could always change.

4) Is there any chance of seeing a new Dagobah Playset to set up with our "Handstand" Dagobah Luke (OTC) and the Dagobah X-Wing w/R2D2? The new ship looks great, but collectors want more.

Thanks! We're glad that you like the new ship! We're not planning to release any new playsets in the near future.

You can ask, Tamer, but they will either say no or we can't say at this time.

I am glad that Hasbro has opened a dialogue with the general public. However every week it's seems to be the same old answers. Either we aren't planning anything for this figure or we can't talk about that right now.
Maybe we should ask them why they refuse to be more forthcoming with their product information. It's not like they are keeping trade secrets from the competition.

1. Will we ever see the clones from the evolution sets released single carded, I was only able to find two at retail and would like to buy more, Specifically the EP3 clone?

2. Will we ever see Scorch again, I've only seen him twice?

3. I realize Darth Vader sells, but did we need him in every single Saga wave there are tons of him warming the pegs?

4. (Request) We could really use more battle packs geared towards arm builders?

Ok. I will get away from trying to pin down hasbro and expecting them to provide answers to simple, basic questions.

I want to know if we will ever see the resurgence of 12" figures. Since these are the favorite part of my collection I am always wanting more.

In regards to the new packaging for the 30th anniversary, why didn't they go for nostalgia in the design.  I think a return to the OTC style cards with a 30th anniversary logo would have been fantastic.  Aren't anniversaries all about nostalgia?

I hope not, Sideshow is doing so much better with their figures. Even though they are a little more costly, I think it's worth it. But if Hasbro was to pick up the 12" line again, they would probably just give us the same crap, but now charge us $50 per figure. Oh wait, they already did that with Jango and Anakin/Vader.

Amen, and the Anakin was quite possibly the worst figure ever.

A couple questions:

How does Hasbro decide which aliens to release from the various movie scenes? Is it based on fan input? I'd love to see the Mon Calamari Dancing girl, Dice Ibegon, Cane Adiss, Loje Nella, Attark and Cy Yunga eventually.

Why, when Ghoel was released in the Jabba's Denizens Ultra set wasn't he called Ghoel (his proper name)?

Does the "What's the Story" feature on the Starwars.com site influence the probability of an obscure character being made into an action figure?

More questions:

Will Hasbro ever do figures of characters that were deleted from the Original Trilogy? Now that the ORIGINAL original trilogy is coming on dvd, Hasbro would hopefully consider doing a figure of Arliel Schous, and an updated Spirit Anakin using the old actor for reference.

Also, what process does Hasbro go through to develop body looks/costumes/anatomy for characters that were basically heads (Hem Dazon). Dice Ibegon, Cane Adiss and Loje Nella fall into this category, and Kal'Falnl C'ndros was basically just a bad special effect. A full body illustration of Kal appears in the "Secrets of the Sisar Run" book from West End Games (page 30, she looks like a giant ostrich, but a cool one!) And on the cover of the Jedi Apprentice book # 10 "The Shattered Peace" there is a pic of a member of Loje Nella's species depicting a vaguely bipedal stance. (Perhaps this also reveals the actual name of his species as well: Rutanian/Senalian.) The book "Tales From the Mos Eisely Cantina" describes Ibegon as serpentine "with coils". Does Hasbro take these various sources into account, or are these characters just ignored in favor of more complete costume/alien designs?

BTW it would be great to see all the characters i described here made into figures, anyone agree?

Question:

Although you have noted you are moving away from making playsets, have you considered entering the field of diorama-building?  For example, say there was a set where you provided the materials to build a Tatooine diorama....sand, canvas for tent material, moisture vaporators, etc.

Death star wall panels would be cool...

Build your own diorama - be it walls for a hanger, death star, bunker system, Tantive IV corridors..

There is a company that make miniature scale sci fi walls and it is a shame nobody has made these action figure scale.
