I've been reading the Q&A at other sites, did we get questions answered this week?

I guess not, I sent them last Saturday and I admit they should have been sent last Friday but really does a day matter that much? These 3 questions are not the center of our life, or top priority around here but for whatever reason Hasbro was stumped by our 3 questions from a week ago. To top it off we've sent 5 questions the past few times to ensure we wouldn't have this happen again but I guess we were wrong? I've asked the Q n A team for a response but have yet to hear anything back.

Loyal Troopers, it is my shame to say that I was late in sending in our questions this round. You had submitted some excellent questions worthy of excellent answers, and I dropped the ball. As such, combined with time constraints, I have stepped down from Moderating these forums. I'll still be around, back among the ranks.

It has been confirmed that there will be a McQuarrie figure will be in every wave, is this still true with the recenly announced repaints and repacks wave?

Do you plan to release Commander Neyo in the basic line carded, or possibly a comic 2pk w/Stass Allie in the future? The reason I ask is because those Wal-mart Saleucami Battle Packs are neer imposible to track down. If it wasn't for someone else I wouldn't have one at all, witch doesn't say much for army building!

Here's one that's been bugging me for a while now:

All of the Clonetroopers are just that - clones, right? Clones of Jango Fett. If they are all clones of the same man, they should all look alike... why have you given us no less than 3 different Clonetrooper heads?

Technically there is only two the older clone Temora Morrison, young clone Bodie Tayler. The GM used a better sculpted head to look more like Tayler.

You cnactually see it in ROTS. Got ot the scene where Obi Wan is speaking with Cody aboard the Republic Cruiser. In the back ground, you see a mixture of Morrison and Taylor faces. Also, in EP II when the clones are shown to Obi Wan on Kamino. All of the clones are played by Bodie Taylor as they are young... 20 years old or so. Lookat pix of yourself at 10-20-30-40 etc... see how you look similar but different. That is what they were trying to show in the movie and with the figs. Some of the clones are at different ages.

Thatbrings me back to a question I've asked that Hasbro has been been Q'd on... will we see a Clone in red fatigues figure or /and a better articulated clone with removeable armor?

I see that you are now making more EU figures from the videogames, like the rebel vanguard. With this rebel addition, will we see more imperial EU characters that can be army built like Xandel Carivus's Elite Guard, Swamptrooper, or Storm Commando?

P.S. Xandel Carivus's bodyguard is what I really want. Please consider it. Smiley

Would still like to know this.

Two questions:

1. Is there any chance to buy the new TAC coins alone without the figure as carded collectors like myself end up having to buy two figures just to get the coins?

2. With the new UGH promotion, will we be able to buy the six vintage figures of our choice rather than one of each type like the GL Stormy UGH promotion was changed too after originally having to buy one of each type?

Question number 1 has been answered on other sites with a "No". Question 2... I would guess it will work like most all past mail ins. Initially it will be one of each. As their back stock of coins dont clear as quick as they'd like and the store keep having the "commons" on the shelves, they will alter it to liquidate inventories.

Actually you can get any six POP's not one of each as seen here:

As an added bonus, there's a mail-in offer. Buy any 6 vintage figures and you can send away for a special exclusive set of 7 collector's coins available nowhere else!

Hey yall arent we all DUE for some hasbro Q&A SOON i HOPE cause they havnt gotten back too us or is it just a monthly thing.I also filled the survey and too me hell with AFA cause if you dont plan on selling it why have it ceritfied and i let them know that in the survey.Toy collecting in SW is something i will NEVER stop and hasbro needs to see that the collectors are getting more i think then most kids cause the kids only get whats hot in the market on what they see on tv saturday mornings. So the collectors are the ones that stay true to one area. But enuff said on that but i hope we do get some Q&A soon cause i know i have a few questions for them and one is WHEN ARE WE GOING TO SEE A ARC 170 this yr? which was rumored to be with new deco from the gunship paint from animated series.

Hasbro,
I have been seeing several of the new figure pics from celebration IV, and they all look awesome! But i have noticed that although several sites are claiming that you are showing the remainder of the figures due out this year, i don't see anything about the rumored "Attack of the Clones" wave (with a Clone Trooper, Destroyer Droid with sheild, Padme in fireside gown, Jango Fett, and Voolvif Monn?), or the also rumored exclusive "Reverse Stormtrooper". Are these just that, a rumor? Or are you saving some suprises for the SDCC?

The very late latest! Cheesy

1. Why was the Clone Wars costume chosen for the Quinlan Vos figure in the newly released Comic Pack, rather than the Jedi outfit he wears in the Twilight comic included with the figure? He never meets Villie in his Clone Wars costume. Was it due to the results of fan's choice poll, since I understand there was a lot of campaigning there for his Clone Wars costume? If so, will we get a Jedi outfit version of Vos anytime soon?

There was some debate about this, because there are actually three Quinlan Vos outfits that have merit to be done at some point (including also his own native guardian outfit). We went with one that was distinct but familiar, rather than the Jedi robed version first. Rest assured, Vos is such a popular character that we are looking at ways to bring him back again, but can't promise anything for awhile. Meanwhile we hope everyone enjoys this one and the fact we were finally able to bring one of the greatest of the EU characters "to life" so to speak.

2. In previous answers you have given in regards to new items such as ships, you answer that the reason some new items are not being looked at is that the cost of tooling up is to high, however isn't that a cost associated with doing business and isn't the main goal to satisfy consumer demand. By replying that you can't or won't do any new items of older releases such as the cloud car, and using the reply of cost of R&D are to high are you not saying that it is not important to keep your core consumers happy but rather to offer releases to maximize your profit margins.

Yes, of course, there is a cost of doing business, but it's also our jobs to manage these costs and ensure that Star Wars is a healthy, ongoing line. We analyze each opportunity relative to the other. For instance, in cases where vehicles may cost all the same to design, develop, and tool, we take demand into consideration. We then would "call our number" regarding how many to produce based on what we feel the relative strength of demand for that vehicle is relative to others for which we have known history or are looking to get into the line. In some cases, it just doesn't make sense, because smaller volume vehicles, like we suspect the Cloud Car would be, would wind up being crazy expensive as we have to pass on those costs to the collector. The higher the price, the fewer that we are confident collectors will pick up.

3) Is there any chance we will ever see a boxed set of the McQuarrie Concept figures, in a nice displayable package, like the Republic Commando set? These are magnificent figures and it would be nice to get them all together like that.

It's an interesting question and one for which we don't have an answer. Because several of the McQuarrie figures are convention exclusives (Luke and R2-D2/C-3PO), they would not be available for such a set. In any case, we'll probably think about that for a future idea after we have caught our breath from bringing all eight of the cool new ones to retail!

i want new vehicles as much as anyone but does anyone think if u keep rewording the same question u will get a different answer. i like what hasbro is doing with the figures this year but they dont care about collectors because apparantley we are not their target audience kids are. that is why they keep putting out repainted versions of the same thing because uninformed parents will keep buying it for their kids.

To no ones surprise I'm sure, Hasblo's response is total BS!
For the next round I would like to ask the following question.

You commented in our last round of questions that making something like the Twin Pod Cloud Car is a poor choice for Hasbro since it won't produce enough sales due to a low relative strength of demand. What I want to know is what resources does Hasbro use to determine a figures/ships "relative strength of demand?"
I am curious as to if you use internal polling data, information from outside research firms or do you have an internal system to determine a products popularity?
Would you please enlighten the masses as to your system?

Are you planning after you release your JSF with the hyperspace ring, to sell the hyperspace ring alone so we can outfit some of your former JSF that didnt come with rings? Perhaps do a set with the different paint jobs to match the ships that were released without this?
