This has to be one of the biggest B.S. answers that the Blow Boys have tried to pass off yet!
AN INCONSISTANT VARIATION in HEIGHT? YOU MAY HAVE SOME STATISTICAL OUTLIERS in YOUR COLLECTION?
What a load of  Dog Shit
This is exectly why I have changed my focus to statues and lightsabers.
I have decided to spend my money with reputible companies.
Not only does hasblo not give a rip about anything but their back pocket they have proven once again that they care nothing about the dissatisfaction of the consumer.
I think I have discovered Hasblo's marketing philosophy: "We'll make it however we want so just shut up and buy it."

Q: Why did you release an Official Star Wars Figure Protector Case and advertise the use of it with the current Saga line, illustrated in its instruction flyer that comes with the cases, if it pinches the top of the current Saga line cards, thus damaging the collectable? I can only assume this was an oversight in marketing or in design. Is this something that will be corrected soon?

We designed it to accommodate the Saga Collection cards and for the most part we have not seen a problem.  However, it is noted that the 2006 (and 2005 before it) cards can have an inconsistent variation in height because of the way they are constructed (blister taped to the backer card, which allows for variations at the time of assembly).  You may have some statistical outliers in your collection that are taller than others, and for that we apologize.

Q: The Galactic Hunt promotion for this year was immensely popular, especially the Silver-Foil figures.  However, they seem to have vanished off the radar.  Does Hasbro plan to do a similar promotion later this year or next?  Perhaps a Gold Foil carded chase figure set?

There won’t be any more next year, but it will return again next year. Stay tuned!

[

so what does this mean? I am assuming it is no more for this year but will be back next year. With that said are the coins going to be the items we are hunting next year?

Question

Dear Hasbro;

I remember when I was a kid and played with G.I. Joe's that you had a really awesome promotion, as a matter of fact, my all-time favorite promotion that you have ever done.  The promotion was that  you make your own G.I. Joe of yourself.  I remember that everyone got the same Joe but what was really neat was that the toy was named whatever you wanted it to be named and you got to create your own battle stats for it.  Any chance we will see this done for Star Wars, maybe as an awesome Fan Club exclusive.  All you really need to to is mail out a Stormtrooper with a piece of paper with the selected stats and name.

Maybe, you could even take the step further by allowing collectors to send in a jpeg image whic you would put on the card.  Or, maybe fro Celebration IV as another exclusive you could real scan the collectors head and sculpt it on an existing figure sculpt ex: stormtrooper, jedi, imperial officer, etc.  I would pay $100+ just to have my head put on an action figure.

That would be awesome (although, I already have my own figure check out my customs gallery). I know my kids and I would love that. My dad still has my old joe.

1. The plain white Clone Trooper from Attack of the Clones hasn't seen retailer shelves a whole lot lately, but it seems like the kind of army builder that should see a regular rotation in the basic figure line. Is the Super Articulated format of this figure due out at retail again in the near future? We know that the Green AOTC Sergeant is on his way this Fall of course, but I'm sure many out there would love more of the AOTC grunts for our armies.

** Good question, and we agree, but there may be many such figures fans want to see come back. Stay tuned for an opportunity for fans to input on which "greatest hits" we should be doing

Does anyone else believe as I do? I'll believe Hasbro accepts or cares about our input when The Weather Channel reports that hell has frozen over.

.) Is there any word on when the Target-exclusive Imperial Shuttle will be out on shelves? The product's DPCI# is 087-06-0483 and it's saying its $59.99.

ANSWER: No comment.

Just another total BS answer from the blow boys.
Why no comment? They don't have any competition. Why not fuel the anticipation of collectors and improve their company name?

) I've heard rumours about a 3 3/4 scale Sith Infiltrator? First of all, is it true? And secondly will it be scaled like the 'real' ship [ideally with space for a couple of probe droids and a Sith speeder or is it going to be a modified TIE fighter with room for one pilot?

Yes, it is true. It will be develoepd for the $19.99 Starfighter Vehicle line, so liberties will be taken with scale but there will be cool features and will be designed for one pilot. We can't wait to show fans the final product…it's a sensational vehicle.

I fell out of my recliner when I read this. Hasblo actually gave a straight forward answer and some good news about a new ship in the Starfighter Vehicle line.

As an extension of ST79's question:

We have seen some re-packs or re-builds in the current line using VOTC figure sculpts or bodies (the TSC Sandtrooper comes to mind, as a rebuild of the VOTC Stormtrooper).  Has Hasbro considered re-issuing the VOTC line, or possibly offering a collector's set with both VOTC and VTSC?

Q.  Will Hasbro ever consider making a case for the titanium series small ships, something similar to the matchbox and hot wheels cases that were released back in the 80's?  Maybe they could release a few exclusives with the case too boost consumer appeal.

We haven't looked at that but it's an interesting suggestion.  Thanks!

Q.  I'd love to see the Tie Interceptor make a comeback. Any plans for 2007?

It's on the short list of vehicles we would like to do, given an opportunity at retail that works.

Q.  The M & Mpire figures were a lot of fun, and there were rumors once that there were plans for a second series.  Seeing as there are plenty of characters to use still, such as Yoda, different troopers, etc, can we hope to ever see these fun little figures again? Do sales dictate second editions?

That was it for the line.  The promotional window for the M-Pire figures was during and slightly after Episode III and the DVD release, and the promotion was timed to end there with the wind-down of the M&Ms promo activity.  We did not have a second series planned although we brainstormed (and did concept work for) what a line of mini Galactic Heroes--like Mr. Potato Head figures--would be (like Cuke Skywalker, 3-Pea-O, etc...Insert your own vegetable jokes here.  But these just weren't as important to use as doing more Galactic Heroes.

Q.  I remember when I was a kid and played with G.I. Ah yes, the Steel Brigade promotion.  Unfortunately, this is a time-intensive and not an inexpensive promotion and we just don't think it would get that much interest.  Believe it or not, we have looked at the feasibility of custom heads on other lines, Joe in particular, and just can't get past the huge cost and time involved.  It's just not something we're set up to do, which is deliver higher volume products to retail.

As pleased as I am that Hasbro gave straight forward and honest answers, yeah I know it's a shock, I don't understand the logic behind this one.
How could the promotion suggested here not be hugely successful and profitable? I'd like to know where Hasbro gets their information.

man, I dont know why they say they want our questions and our ideas if they dont really want em. We collectors are giving them the best ideas their best new idea guys could ever give them as we are the ones who buy all this stuff and make sure thier company doesnt go bankrupt which it would no doubt do if we didnt keep buying thier stinking repacks.

New question, will you create an army builder pack for the new saga figures for dio builders like the atat driver, snowtrooper, endor rebel soldiers, clones, etc? Perhaps make these in 5 or 10 figure increments in just basic boxes to save on packaging and give people who want to buy these figures loose a slightly better deal? I am sure this would be pretty profitable and enable some of the single figure waves to get off the pegs to leave more for the new releases as we have been having a horrible time getting the new naboo wave in for the GB figs clogging the pegs.

Actually guys, it's a lot more than just a piece of paper.  If you think about it, the data entry alone makes the idea not cost effective.  As they say, tuime is money, and this would take a LOT of time to input.  The overall figure would be easy enough of course.  At least they give more of a reason than just "no," or something simple like that.

I do not believe this idea is feasable for SW for the simple fact it wasn't in the movie, and alot of people don't buy it unless it's seen on screen. I don't fault them at all for not doing this type of promotion.

I'd like to know what happened to an idea that they disclosed at C3 about paying HasbroToyShop.com to deliver one of every figure that was released that year, or something along those lines. It's been almost 2 years since then, and I've yet to see this go into effect.

They are still unsure if the line will continue after the Target and Wal-Mart rehashed Excusives that are out now. If these do well enough it may return for new characters in the future.
I don't know about other places but the Boba Fett is sold out at my Targets, all that's left are a bunch of Grievous'. To be honest if they wanted to test the waters to see if this line would sell, they should have rereleased Padme, and Vader w/ removable helmet instead of GG and Luke.

Dear Hasbro,

I see at another forum, they are working with you to do a "vote" for figures to be incorporated into the 2007 H&V/Greatest Hits line and it is to include 20-24 figures. My loyalty is to Sandtroopers.com, I check the others forums from time to time but I'm not a member at any of them.

Ouestion is this... any chance we will see the following figures in that line...
EP II SA Clone Trooper
EP II ARC Trooper
VSTC/VOTC Boba Fett
VSTC/VOTC Stormtrooper
EP II Clone Pilot with gun turrent
OTC 06 Snowtrooper w/removeable helmet from the tin pack
OTC 06 Sandtrooper w/removeable helmet from the tin pack
SA Tie Pilot
Non Animated Obi Wan w/clone armor
Shirtless Darth Maul
Darktrooper (although, I'd rather see a complete new, more accurate, sculpt)
Non-Animated Durge
Non-animated Asajj Ventress
EP II and EP III Cloen Trooper from EVO packs
Darth Vader w/removeable helmet w/Hayden head.

? Thats pretty much my wish list. I'm sure theres many more I'd like to see but that's all I can think of at the moment.

Dear Hasbro:  Do some other Star Wars sites/forums get exclusive official polling rights with Hasbro, or do all sites get equal input?  If we are all equal which figures does Sandtroopers.com get to have in our poll?  And what other sites will be included in this polling survey?
