Star Wars Build-A-Figure, Marvel Legends Style!

(1/4) > >>

Jedi Scholar 8:
Okay, here's what I am looking for: Your dream Unleashed figs, in pieces, packaged with 6-10 different action figures.  Toy Biz does this with the Marvel Legends, kinda making collectors who want the BAF to buy all the figs in that series to do so and sell more figs.  Since this has worked VERY well with the Marvel Legends, and Hasbro will be taking over that line in 2007, why not translate that concept to their #1 seller, Star Wars? I'll start off below...

The Power of the Force series:  Plo Koon Unleashed! (all figs come with at least 36-40 points of articulation)
Darth Vader, with metal hilt, softgoods cape, and removeable helmet.  Comes with Plo Koon's upper torso
Luke Skywalker, ANH with metal hilt, accuate face/hair sculpt, able to position into the ANH Poster stance!  Comes with Plo Koon's right arm
Obi-Wan Kenobi, ANH, with metal hilt and soft goods cloak.  Comes with Plo Koon's Left Arm/Lightsaber
Qui-Gon Jinn, comes with soft goods cloak, underwater accessories, metal hilt.  Comes with Plo Koon's Left Leg
Darth Maul, with soft goods cloak (removeable), both versions of his lightsaber, metal (whole and half), and bonus swapable lower half with the robotic lower half from Star Wars: Visionaries!  Comes with Plo Koon's Head
Mara Jade, Jedi Master, with softgoods cloak, metal hilt.  Comes with Plo Koon's Base
Komari Vossa, with soft goods cape, metal hilts.  Comes with Plo Koon's lower torso
Exar Kun, soft goods cape and metal hilt.  Comes with Plo Koon's right leg

The parts add up to make a 7"-10" tall Unleashed!

TAMER:
I have to admit, those build the bigger figure pieces almost got me to buy the ML series, I would definitely buy a SW series in this line. Great line up Mr. Scholar.

Wayne:
It is an interesting concept and a much better pack in than a mini holo fig.

Lt. Starfox:
each of those for only $7-9 each....keep dreaming flyboy!  we are lucky to get 12 points of articulation for $6.99 now.....BUT, I love your idea...get on the horn with Hasbro ASAP   :emperor:  and make them understand !

Jedi Scholar 8:
Of course $7-$9 is feasible.  The Marvel Legends are priced at $8-$9 depending on where you go, and are easily 4 times bigger than the standard Star Wars figure.  Here is my next lineup!

The March of the Troops:  BAF Imperial Officer (Again, all figs have 30-40points of articulation)

AOTC Clone (4 versions: Blue, Green, Yellow, and White) with metal rifles and removeable helmets with Jango heads.  Comes with Upper Torso

ARC Trooper (2 versions: Red and Blue) with metal rifles/guns, holsters for guns, soft vinyl kama, removeable helmet.  Comes with Lower torso

Yoda's 43rd Elite with metal rifle, removeable helmet.  Comes with right arm

232nd Airborne Clone (Fox) with metal rifles, removealbe grenades, soft vinyl kama, removeable helmet.  Comes with left arm

Commander Appo with metal rifle/gun, removeable helmet.  Comes with right leg

Clone SCUBA trooper with removeable fins and helmet, metal rifle.  COmes with left leg

TIE Pilot with metal gun, removeable helmet.  Comes with Imperial Officer's gun/interchangeable rank bars

Sandtrooper with metal rifle, BFG, removeable helmet, and Dewback staff.  Comes with base for Imp. Officer.
