Yesterday my family went to see Ice Age 2 and everyone was shocked to see a trailer for the Simpsons movie. It makes you think it's a supermain trailer but then cuts into Homer sitting on his couch in his underwear wearing a Superman shirt. The narrator then says coming July 24, 2007. Homer then says, "Guess we better get busy!".

I couldn't believe how well Fox was able to keep this under the radar. We all knew a movie was coming but we had no clue when. You would have thought the trailer would have leaked somewhere but even aintitcoolnews.com was shocked by the news. But then I started thinking, this trailer came out April 1st...and hopefully it's not some sick joke that Fox came up with. But for those of you who watched the Simpsons last night they showed the same trailer. So it's the real deal!

I'm a big fan of the classic Simpsons. I haven't really been watching the newer seasons, they kind of lost their touch. But I'm sure Groening will bring it and the movie will be good.

Because the trailer came out on April fools day.

No, this will be legit. I know Fox has been in the works to do a SImpsons movie for awhile now, and if I am not mistaken, it will mark the end of the Simpsons on TV. Last I had heard, it would be a 2007 release, and would follow the final episode of the Simpsons, capping off a rediculous run of what, 20 years? I bet it will be fantastic, and much like the South Park movie where they go where they couldn't go before.

I'm surprised that the film will be coming out before the show ends its run but I'm very interested in this. For some reason I am surprised they didn't release one sooner. I have yet to see ice age 2 but I really want to see this trailer, sounds funny! oh and I hear ice age 2 is funny too!

The same story has been floating around for awhile but who knows, something that has to do with Homer goofing up at the Power Plant so the Government puts a dome over Springfield.

I know it's been a while since anyone posted but July 27th is fast approaching.

I really hope this movie doesn't suck. I'm a massive Simpsons fan.

Yep and i bet when it does come out i bet this movie ends up makin a buttload since everyone knows bout the simpsons and since the creator also did futurrama which is my favorite series i like all of what he has done with the simpsons and futurama and i would love to see more of it of futurama but this movie will be very sweet when it does come out thats for sure and i would like to see him do a futurama movie as well so now that would be pretty cool as well..

This was off my to see list, but after laughing at the trailer, and seeing the kids laugh, this movie seems to be pretty good.

Yeah when they showed the trailer on GMTV the other morning that Spider pig bit had me craking up. I cant wait for this, i will be going to see it just after my birthday

This did look really funny, doubt I'll see it in theaters only certain movie get that honor. I think it's rather cool though that in celebration of this movie several 7 Elevens changed their name to Kwiki Mart (I think it's spelled like that?) in seattle. Also sine the creator of the series is from Portland they are holding a poll to have the Premiere in Springfield Oregon.

I went to see this tonight with my Dad and we both LOVED it. One of the funniest movies ive seen in quite a while, Awesome!!!!!

I saw it last night too, and it was friggin' HYSTERICAL! If you even moderately enjoy the TV show, you'll LOVE the movie. There are a lot of unexpected things in the movie after seeing the show on TV for 20 years...they take their creative license well! Definitely go see this movie!

Same here, better than expected, we saw this at the drive-in and it was enjoyable to watch. Some really funny parts as well.
