ROTS Figures
« on: October 13, 2004, 12:37:34 PM »
I just saw this at galctichunter.com a glimpse of possible figures for Episode 3.

The Deluxe figure assortment makes a comeback in 2005 with the return of the Spider Droid ---this time with a bigger gun. Clones also make a return with a Clone Trooper 3 Pack Swami hopes will be all sorts of color/rank variants of the lightly shipped and much in demand Super Articulated Clone Trooper. There's also a Yoda on Dragonfly which brings up all sorts of visions of the diminutive Jedi Master on a winged insect. And finally, to establish the long known end game in the final film in the Star Wars saga, a Quick Change Darth Sidious and Anakin Skywalker with snap-on Darth Vader armor will also be available along with a Droid with Operation Table.

I wonder if they mean the little spider droid with the face or the gigantic 4 legged one that you can drive in Battlefront.

I believe it's the little one, as the big one is called something else.
Although I cannot remember the name? ???

The little one better be...better than the last one.  I'm pretty sure the big one is called a spider droid, they call it that in Battlefront as well.

I guess you're right it's called a homing spider droid:
www.starwars.com/databank/droid/homingspiderdroid/index.html
And the smaller one is called a dwarf spider droid:

I said the same thing. The mustache I think is a little to thick and takes away from the mouth features.  Also it looks ike someone put some heat up against his face, looks a like it's partially melted or I'm just seeing things.  The skin is also very glossy looking so I don't know if that has something to do with it.

The detail on his saber is amazing, I can't believe Hasbro put so much work into it.   :o  I agree with habs, the figure does look way too glossy, it shouldn't be shiny at all.  But, maybe it's a special layer to protect the figure?  Even though I'm not really a fan of Obi-Wan, or many of the human character, I think I will buy this.  I'm going to try and get a complete ROTS figure collection, one carded, and one loose.   ;D

Here are a couple of pictures of the EP3 Mace Windu.  Not sure if I really like this figure yet.  Again the skin tone is too glossy and the way they have the articulation looking it looks like his shoulders are connected to the body instead of blending in with it.  Might be another figure that will look better carded than opened.

Habs, you're reading my mind.  I think the shoulders and elbows look awful, they just look horrendous, terrible, disgusting, and ugly (lots of adjectives for that figure!).  I also don't like how his face is set in a frown.  It would be okay in some stances, but it just doesn't work for me.

I think his shoulders are like that for the action feature, he's suppose to throw something off or some such thing.

They could have at least threw a robe on him.  It would have made his appearance that much better.

Here are pics of the latest figs found at galactichunter.com of a Clone Trooper and Battle Droid. I hope they are not rehashing  TPM or AOTC droids for ROTS figures?

I think the Battle Droid looks good carded.  I wondering if the clone trooper will have as much articulation as the SA Trooper.  Grievous is OK but I prefer the Preview figure with the cape.

I'm not thrilled whatsoever with the "quick draw action" on the new Clone Trooper.  I hope it's nothing similar to that Clone Trooper that came in the deluxe set with the Speeder Bike.   >:(

They're not going to be asking $7.00 for that Battle Droid are they? It better not be that soft plastic stuff from the Saga line or i'll be a little ticked off. >:( I am not particularly impressed with what I have seen so far in these sneak peak pictures. I hope it's all a farce to throw everybody off while the real figures will just blow us away...I hope! :-\

Hope is for fools Sandtrooper Dan!  I say pass the ammo and grenades!

I do have to agree with the Battle Droid observation though.  To pay $7 for something that can barely stand up goes way beyond my opinion of a good decision.

No matter what the price you know everyone will buy one. I know I sure will. I like the Clone. Snazzy.

So is it true that a Quinlan Vos figure is in Wave 2? I have heard some rumors but nothing concrete as of yet. I hope it is true. A comic book Jedi in EIII.

I would agree, except for the fact tha the ARC-170 Clone Fighter coming out( rumored) looks pretty pimp to me. And don't forgetthe Gunship, perhaps the best SW ship ever made.

I honestly don't think that's a true figure.  The number on this 37, which is supposed to be a Clone Trooper.  The packaging looks dead on and accurate, but unless Hasbro has decided to change their figure roster than this looks to be a customized job.  Nonetheless, it looks sweet as hell.

Dan, I downloaded these pictures and am uploading them here.  Since these are images that are on eBay they won't stay up forever.

A close-up picture of the figure would help.  But, it looks like it could be easily customized or even made from scratch.  The body looks a bit like an IG-88 torso.  And, if it is supposed to be Vader's medical droid, why is it called a "chopper"?  And why is it holding a gun in the picture?

Hey Fett, if you're going to talk about images from Galactic Hunter please do more than a click here. Although we don't get the same repect back from most other sites, I'd like you to credit the source, although the person can clearly see where they are from. We're not above giving someone credit and acting like they are in existence! So when posting pictures from others sites, please say where they are from in words, thanks!  :)

Yeah, the face on that medic looks really stupid if you ask me.  I don't watch Teletubbies, but it does look like it could be a character on that show.  It's kinda scary that you know the name of the character.   :o

The face of that new medic looks more like that 4 headed robot guy that the ninja turtles had to fight IMO.

Our S.C.A.L.P. Weapons Supplier has just updated our EIII figures page with some new transmissions. Ultimate Anakin and Mon Mothma carded. However I just can't get over than quick change Deluxe Anakin, I can't wait. The EIII figures look great from what I'm seeing so far. I just hope the action features don't wreck the figures.

Whoever made that did one hell of a job!   :o  I can't wait until that line hits the shelves (in gross under-supply of course).

But sadly, it looks like Hasbro is already trying to screw us over.  Kit Fisto's eyes still look buggy, prego Padme has a gun because?, and they give us the same Yoda figure twice, and it is only slightly different.  Curse you Hasbro!

Speaking of ROTS figures I have a very bad feeling that Toys-R-Us will not be the place to purchase them come April. Today to my horrid surprise at one of my local TRU's I saw two whole pallets of Sneak Preview Figures. They were stacked about 4.5 feet up. That is many, many, many ROTS Preview Figures. I looked at the boxes just to make sure none were the regular figures. All were Sneak Preview figures unless regualr figures were stashed in the the cube of boxes. My Toys-R-Us will be overstocked with Preview figures for years to come.

On a side note one of the TRU's in my area still have Episode 2 sneak preview figures and Bo'Shek.

I was reading the article on the fp linking to yahoo news about ROTS and ToyFair....the part that stands out in my mind is the "approx retail cost for basic figs $5.99"....so how come, Taget, TRU & Kmart are charging $7+ for them?  >:(

My local Fred Meyers is charging 7.99 for the animated figs, I would like to know how they expect to do well with prices like this. Kids do not have this kind of money, but yet that is their focus. ??? I recently read the news story about how Hasbro hopes ROTS  bails them out of financial trouble. Maybe the reason for that is the price thay charge, compared to G.I. Joe figures it's quite an increase.

That brings up a great point Shawn!  Hasbro has always stated that their main target audience are the children, but what child could seriously afford $7.99 for one stinking figure?  Especially one that has almost NO articulation?  In my 5+ years of hardcore collecting, I have only seen less than TEN kids looking at the Star Wars toys, and never I have I seen any kids ever walking away with them.

Why can't Hasbro just cut the bulls**t and be honest that their number one target audience truly is the collectors out there, and that it's NOT the damn children?!?   >:(

went to target here in chicago and they priced eack sneak peak fig for $6.99 a piece.

so i went to kmart and found a difreent price of the figs for $5.99.

but i did finally find a starfighter that got me into a little altercation with a guy. last one also. we both grabbed for it and he suckered punched me in the gut.

security came and tossed the dude out. funny thing is when security nabbed him he dropped the starfighter. so i told the guard the guy punched me and took the toy away from me.

so they gave me the anakin star fighter and i left.

I'm not one who usually collects vehicles because of space and all, but this might be the movie that changes that. After seeing pics of the new Starfighters and Republic Gunship Im definitely going to get these. Hopefully they will make an AT-TE that I would definitely buy!

I'd like to say thanks to sandtroopers.com for posting the link to those Toy Fair picks. Man, does that Republic Gunship look cool or what? After I saw it in the ROTS trailer, I was hoping that it would be made into a toy. I wasn't planning to buy many toys from this movie, but I'll need to make an exception for that one. I bet Hasbro has some even better stuff planned to release later in the year for the Holiday shopping season. I guess we'll just need to wait and see.  :)

I don't think that is the Republic Gunship. It looks like the Clone fighter that is seen breifly in the first E3 trailer.I read on Rebelscum.com(I know how Spice feels about them)and someone in Georgia found the some of the Basic E3 figures at TRU.Amazing how some stores will put stuff out when they aren't suppse to.Our stores are so strict that they will have armed guards around the pallets of E3 merchindise before April 2nd.Ok,I am exaggerating but they will not put them out early.

Holy Freaking WOW! Hey I just want to inform everyone that I just made my weekly Sunday morning run. I stopped in at Wal-Mart as my last stop. I was looking at some board games to buy for a birhtday present. A guy opened the backroom door and brought out a pallet of home goods stuff.  :(  As the door was open I peaked in and on the second, third, and top shelf of the stock units are many STAR WARS boxes wrapped in plastic on pallets. I could clearly make out that it was Star Wars and you could see the red outlined box that has the warning date on it.
As I was looking at the games I saw an employee and asked where is the Star Wars stuff? All that this Wal-Mart has is three Darth Vader Helmets and badic lightsabers. He said that they are not putting out any Star Wars stuff until Spring. I think he means April 2, 2005. So I asked him about the stuff in the backroom. He went back there and looked up at the stuff. He said sorry but they are marked not to be put out.
I know what Wal-Mart I will be visiting April 2.

I am still optimistic that somewhere in Indy a store will put out something from Revenge of the Sith. Other Wal-Marts and Targets in my area put up the Lightsabers with the DVD packed in them but not the ROTS sabers. I believe the DVD packed saber are marked April 2nd. I could be wrong on that.

Well keep your eyes open and start making plans for the April Hunt. I am getting really excited to spend a lot of money.

Oh! On my hunt today I did picked up the Unleashed Stormtrooper at Target. He is very small next to the other Unleahed in this series. Cool none the less.

Happy Hunting!

It's not about how I feel about them. They are a good source for Star Wars news and reference. There are many other aspects of the website and such that are just plain tasteless. I was shocked to see how little a surprise Toy Fair was. So we don't get a press kit? They will be released later this year, minus the fancy wrapper. I can't wait, April 2nd is gonna put some cramp on my wallet too!  ;D

Images Reloaded: Episode III Figures & More!
I have finished adding yet another page to our Revenge of the Sith section. I've added some new action figures that we haven't seen yet, Micro Vehicles, and I even threw in a bunch of pictures of those plush figures. If it weren't for the fact that our website was down yesterday, I would have had these images posted sooner for your viewing pleasure. Hope you enjoy all the new pictures! I agree....almost a reverse psychology thing considering how the TIE pilot looks...

If they were going to have a three pilot evolution that ended with one covered in helemt and armor, you'd think the first one would be the one showing skin.

This Clone Pilot looks most like an AT-AT Driver instead of the TIE Fighter Pilot, but I've seen this Clone Pilot flying the Republic Gunships so I guess I could be wrong.   :-\

I really like the way they've condensed the packaging on the Deluxe figures, the Saga Ultra series was way to large, which translates to takes up too much room. YOU guys know how it is.

So is this all the Clones we are going to get, are they going to do the any other color scheme. I realize for AOTC we only got two Clones so getting four for ROTS is better, I would like to see the Clone Commander done with multiple color ranks.

Shouldn't the Guards have staffs instead of rifles and Biker Scout laser pistols? What's up with that. Pictures I've seen from the movie show the Guards with staffs too. The reason that I'm all about having the Guards with the proper accessories is because the red one looks so cool and is so much like the one from back in 1983 that I want to buy a whole bunch of them. I need staffs not rifles though. Come on Hasbro, you're killing me.

I had heard a while ago that he would have a cameo as a Jedi Padawan, but that figure looks kind of short to be Jett Lucas since he's taller than George.

Here's my reaction toward the Darth Vader figure that I posted on our front page...

From the looks of it, you get to be the surgeon by applying the chest place, feet (if you look closely enough he doesn't have any feet), his right gauntlet, and of course his infamous helmet!

That bug that Yoda is flying on is pretty stupid if you ask me, but the rest of these look sweet as hell.  Damn, I can't wait for these to come out in stores!

Oh come on are you guys scared of that lil bug?  LOL!  Yeah, I don' care for it either. I am really not looking forward to Yoda riding on this thing in the film either.  It might be cool though who knows?

I LOVE that Vader with the table.  It's actually one of the top things I want from ROTS now.  I hope the jetpack Clonetrooper makes it into the final film version.  Either way I am going to buy a few.

Can't wait for this line to start rolling into the stores on 4/2.

I finally got out today to look for some ROTS figures. I didn't find anything new or exciting, but I did see something really cool. I saw little kids going nuts over the new ROTS merchandise. This was really neat to see. Usually, I only see adults buying these toys. I've never seen kids so excited over Star Wars toys. Hopefully, this new movie will have the same kind of magic for this generation as the original movies did for mine. I hope that ROTS has the impact that E-1 and E-II should have had. Plus, I think that these ROTS toys have a lot of nice features that will really appeal to children. This was just really neat to see. I wonder if anyone else had the same experience this weekend?

I too was able to see this at midnight madness.  It was awesome to see parents bring their kids out to snag toys.  One little boy was so excited that he kept running up and down the length of windows in the front of the TRU store.

I have to agree with Trooper Jon. I got bum-rushed by 3 kids. They couldnt have been more than 8 or 9 years old, but it was awesome to see the excitement. Although I hope my ribs heal soon, cause it felt like I got hit by a linebacker.

No sonds or lights, and to be honest I'm a little dissapointed in this for the price. The wings don't even have spring loaded action! Other than that it's really cool.

This is just a thought, but might we possibly see an AT-TE in the future? If you bring out the gunners, you have to have a place to put them.

If Im not mistaken, this was a thought brought up by WedgeWannaBe in an earlier thread, but it may be possible.

I picked up the #11 Darth Vader today. I think that this is the best Vader of the modern line. The scuplt, cloth cape, ect. are just great.  It's even better than the VOTC version.

No sign of Clone Troopers or even a second Vader though. These things must just fly off the shelves around here in Boston. Or maybe they never make it to the shelves? Darn scalpers.

Anyway, I can't wait until I get back to the good old red states of the Midwest next week so that I can make some real toy runs to Meijer and Wal-Mart. After that, it's off to C-III. Oh, yeh. Can't wait. See you there on the 21st.  :)

I read over at Galactic Hunter that someone actually purchased that already.  I sure would like to find that figure.  Now, I didn't purchase the Lava Vader figure myself, so would these be hanging on the pegs, or do you have to go up to customer service to buy these?

Only at this particular Target they showed up none in stock, I know for a fact that one of the employees there collects so he probably cleared them out ,  the mgr said they only had 5 left.  The other target by me actually showed them in stock they brought them out from the back when we asked the kind employee to look up the sku#.  I'm really gettin sick of these darned exclusives they are gettin to be a pain in the arse to acquire !

Out of very Target I called only one said they had them in, and could not sell any until they were notified of the release date. One said they already put them out that day, and within an hour they were all gone.

Went straight to Target this morning.  We have 6 in our area and I hadn't been to this one in a few days.  Anyways, I punched in the sku# for the Clone Trooper into the price scanner and it showed they were in the stockroom.  So, I found an older lady in electronics and asked if she could look up a product number for me to see if it was in stock or if any other stores had it (kind of played dumb).  She glady entered away and found the same thing I did.  Located in the stockroom.  "I'll go get one for you", she says.  "Can I get two?", I replied.  A  few short minutes later she returned, clones in hand.  Btw, this was the Target in Altoona, Iowa if anyone lives close and wants to get a couple.

Just thought I'd give my $.02 on the Target Clone, while having a variant color sceme is nice I believe it is way over priced. It's pretty much the basic Clone with a red symbol, you could easily save $7 and paint th decal on. I would have rather payed $13 for a #33 Clone painted blue, green or yellow, IMO unless you're a sucker for Exclusives or must own everything I'd pass on this, and hopefully it does not sell well Hasbro will get the Idea we wont pay twice the price for a $6 figure! I bought one carded and one to open, but I think you really only need one of these in your army at that price.

I just found an image of what Commander Neyo looks like, he somewhat resembles the Target Exclusive. If the Target Clone would have looked like Neyo it definitly would have been worth $13!

The target exclusive trooper is only worth 13 bucks for completists, it is a sweet opened figure and is better then the quick draw magraw trooper(which doesnt stand very well without help) but not worth 13 bucks as a army builder, still a nice figure. the deluxe trooper is only 10 bucks and has a jet pack hehe. I cant waite for the next basic figure trooper , cant remeber his number the one with the black rocket looking pack. And im sure we will see a blue special ops trooper, or i hope we do. i am a sucker for different paint varation troopers tho. We found a ton of commander clones and at 5.24 a pop you cant go wrong there. is the new clone 3 pack army builder thing 10 bucks too?

can most printers accept decal or sticker paper? these are cool decals thanks for turning us on to them.

Has anyone found a EP3 vader where the cloak has a black chain and not a chrome one? it is supposed to be black in the movie isnt it?

So we have had the new figures for awhile now, whats everyones favorite? Im going with EP3 Vader, he is just about the perfect figure and all other figures should be judged by him. the cloth cloak, the hand that holds the lightsaber for dear life, the sculpt could be used as a minature in the actual movie, the action effect actualy works and does not take away from the look of the figure. Coming in a close second is Clone Commander, articulation, paint scuplt A+.

Shade,

I think that the ROTS Vader is perhaps the best Vader figure of the modern line and is my favorite Vader figure since the one with the removable helmet, but my favorite figure of the ROTS line so far is the Clone Trooper Pilot. I just love the design of that figure. He reminds me a lot of the AT-AT Driver figure that I had when I was a kid, and I just loved that figure. My favorites always are a little out their compared to most people though.

I can confirm that Kohls does have the AT-RT with extra clone. I had one in my hands today. Sorry I dont have any pictures of it. 18.99 was the price tag for it.

It's time for Deluxe wave 3 galactichunter has some hi-res images of what's to come. CLONE ARMY, STASS ALLIE WITH BARC SPEEDER, and CRAB DROID. I like the Clobe Army but I would like better paint apps! And I can't wait for Stass Allie!

I really had high hopes for that Crab Droid, but upon further inspection I realized that it's not that great.  The detail is pretty poor... same with the paint application on it.  Also, the Clone 3-packs look really cheap... much cheaper looking then the original Clone Wars 3-packs.  That won't stop me from buying those clones though.   8)

I am probly the only one that didnt know this but my son just showed me how the shoulder pad of the AtTE tank gunner comes off reveiling a republic symbol.Pretty darn cool)
And if you didnt know this thewn surprise!) Also the deluxe flying clone has no foot holes for figure stands..guess he is supposed to be "flying" all the time)

I for one love the new clones they are my favorite design yet, i always thought id like the stormtroopers best but these clones rock and with the ones they offer they make a bad arse army builders, I just wish there were more #41s around

Also does anyone know the case breakdowns, or how to read what's written on the side of the box?

I have not seen any of the Early Bird Figures on Ebay. I've noticed that toys usually leak out in Asia well before release and will pop-up on Ebay. With none on Ebay yet, I bet it's going to be many, many months before we see these Early Bird figures. I bet it will be October at the earliest before we see them. The only good news is that I saw these figures in person at C-III, and the figures are really nice. I hope the production figures look as good.

Not sure if this should go in a different section but just wanted to let everyone know that I talked to a district manager from ToysRUs today and he told me that the majority of their stores ordered way too many of the very first couple waves of figures, which is why they have pretty much the same stuff they had 2 months ago and nothing over#32. I guess until they sell all the figures that nobody really wants anymore they won't get anything new.

I can't believe that Toys R' Us is managed so poorly. We all know that this is not the first time that they have ordered too much of a wave before. Remember the Episode I figures? I still have nightmares about those years with the same junk on the pegs forever. Of course, the same scenario has happened to a lesser degree over and over through the years.

With old waves sitting on pegs, you might as well just stop going to that store for the next few months. Last summer, when the OTC/VOTC waved were hitting store, one really nice Toys R' Us in Toledo, OH just let old SAGA figures hang on the pegs all summer long. Week after week after week the same figures greated me.

I've seen this at some other individual Wal-Marts or Targets before as well. Like the Wal-Mart by my parents house in Ohio must have literally had 100 of the VOTC Ben, Han, and Leia clogging the pegs last summer/fall. I knew that store was a lost cause for months because those figures were never going to sell.

What I also don't understand, is why the stores don't just mark these figures down and get them the heck out of the store. Sell them for cost, so some decent merchandise can fill those spots. Then the store can start making some money again. I don't mean to complain too much. I think that I'm just frustrated because I see the same thing in Boston right now. On my last toy run, I just found shelves clogged with peg-warmers.

Jon, you have to remember that TRU ordered all of those figures for the April 2nd Midnight Madness event, and they were probably anticipating a bigger turnout than what actually took place.  I'm not defending TRU in anyway, because they are a bunch of morons for ordering way too much of this crap.  They should mark these figures down, but we all know that's not going to happen.  Remember that 12" Luke Skywalker on Taun Taun set that was going for $60?  I never once saw that go on sale, and it was sitting on the TRU floors for well over a year at the exact same price.   >:(

Dustrho,

After my tantrum this AM, I went out to Target and found multiples of #41-44, the new delux figures, and even a red Royal Guard. Maybe, I should have forum tantrums more often? Of course, Toys R' Us was still a sad, sad place today. They had tired old figures with tired old beat up packages from two months of shelf wear. Toys are their specialty right? That's why the store is named "Toys R' Us" right? What a sad place. I used to love that store back in the day. Target, Wal-Mart, and especially Meijer kick their butt in both selection and price. I wish Toys R' Us would return to the glory days when they were the place to buy toys. By the way, the Target with all the new toys has already replaced the Star Wars end cap with Batman toys. What? That's right. Batman. Star Wars has barely been out for over a week, and it's already being pushed aside.

That's exactly what's taking place at the Target I was at this morning.  There used to be an entire aisle of Star Wars figures PLUS an entire endcap, and now the endcap is gone to make room for Batman figures.  It's sad being beaten out by Batman.

I love Batman. He's by far my favorite super hero, but we all know that even a Youngling (did I spell that right?) could kick his butt. By the way, I think even C-3PO could kick Robin's butt. Put Star wars back on the end caps.

we've had star wars on the end caps for 2 months now!  new blockbuster movie coming out, new toys to pump it....that's what they call "Merchandising", where the real money in movies is made  ;)   thank you Mel Brooks for a classic line! 8)   still, I would never buy a Batman figure, give me more new star wars!

Star Wars toys should be on the end cap forever. Nothing should ever displace Star Wars. Star Wars is forever. (The new Batman movie actually looks pretty good though.) By the way, Amazon removed the 500th Vader from pre-order. I knew that I should have ordered him. >:( Does anyone know where else I can pre-order that figure, so I don't have to spend time hunting for him at retail?

Everybody thinks Batman is bad, at the Wal-mart here in Mentor, Ohio, they stuck the Fantastic 4 crap right in the middle of all the Star Wars. In all honesty, I think all the stores ordered to much. Very few of the stores that I hit, have gotten anything past #32. All though the 2 main stores I hit are getting new figures, the rest are stocked for months with peg warmers. :P

I've seen them but I'm not so sure if these are something I want to collect, but I'm sure they'll somehow mysteriously make their way to my collection.

Could be any number of things, they also repell off the walkways to join up with Obi-Won during his Grevious battle. The clones are no strangers to cables and ziplines, they are after all clones of the one and only Jango Fet. For hanging off the gunships makes since because of how short these things are, guess they dont want us hanging ourselves with them. Its cool to replace the string they supply with something longer, or just use longer string without the plastic hooks~

I haven't been able to make a toy run in a couple of weeks because I've been getting my back side kicked at work, but from reports on the net, it seems that ROTS merchandise is already fading into memory with less shelf space available. Also, I haven't been able to find much new merchandise on the web either.

I was hoping that the movie would have more staying power than this. I seem to remember that when I was a kid the ROTJ merchandise kept rolling out all summer and into the fall. Are we reaching the end of the ROTS merchandise already? I'm holding my breath for the July San Diego Comic Con in the hopes that we'll see the introduction of some new merchandise for the fall and Holiday season, but things seem unusually quiet right now.

Does anyone else feel the same way? Even the posts on the websites seem to have really fallen off over the past week or two. It seems like that big wave of enthusiasm that was building for months has quickly disappeared. I know that toys don't have the shelf lives that they did twenty years ago when I was a kid, but the shelf life of these toys seems very short.

It's a zip line kind of like the one that came with good ole Tomax and Xamot in the original 80's GI Joes.

I gotta say that the clone commander is one of my favorite figures in the line.

Yes it is, that's why I've been debating wether or not to get this, as I'm not into GH figs.

I buy up all of the GH figures and vehicles and playsets that I can for my godson.  He has two Darth Vaders and loves them both.  They're his favorite.  He knows all of the characters by name and will correct you if you say the wrong name, and he;s only two!

The cowl/cape isn't what worries me...it's the helmet.  It seems to be somewhere inthe middle of the ROTS Clone trooper and the ANH Stormtrooper, almost like Neyo.  After that, I guess it's jsut a matter of playing with capes/cowls.  By the way Masterfett, I am having a bit of difficulty with the Gree.  I have to redo the helmet after seeing some new and better pics.  Sorry for the delay, I just want this one to turn out great.  Going to touch up the camo as well.  Hopefully by the end of the week.   Sorry

Go to Walmart, people!  The ones in Portage and Schererville both had so many cases of the Bacara wave out that the pegs were overflowing with them.  Clone 3-packs also were heavy, though only the all white versions.

I think there will be 4 of them, in addition to the All White Clones.  I have found the 3 pks w/  burgundy Clone & one with the Blue clone already.

1. Standing clone has burgundy markings, Kneeling & Prone are all white.
2. Kneeling clone has Green markings
3. Prone clone has Blue Markings
4. All Colored Clones (Burgundy, Green & Blue)

The one deluxe figure that has eluded me thus far (Crab Droid) can be had for $11.99 on amazon - I'm going to pass however since they want to charge almost $7 in tax and shipping...  ::)  I think I'll just keep hunting every store I go to until I find one...  but I thought someone in a remote area might need this info, so I'm passing it on!

I've only ordered from Amazon one time, when Episode I figs were $1-$1.77 each!  I almost finished my set that way.  Otherwise, I would rather hunt the stores for what I need.  It's more fun that way, though truth be told I have gotten a couple of ROTS items from fellow troopers :-[

Why do I have a feeling that my clone customs will be much better than what Hasbro comes out with?   :smokin:

The Clone varients are on their way as reported by galactichunter.com, Commander Thire will be Clone #6, and Clone Commander #33 with green markings! I have a feeling Commander Thire is going to be very HTF!

I saw that report earlier today at GH, and even though I was initially excited about seeing the Shock Trooper figure, I can't help but say that Hasbro is a little to late on this one.  Those assclowns have probably seen all the customs we've all been doing and said, "Boy, we can make a lot of money on this idea."  And personally, I'm having a lot more fun customizing my Clone Troopers versus these variations that Hasbro will be putting out.

Yeah I hear ya, that's why I'll pass on the green one anyone can do that. The Shocktrooper though I will get at least 6 or 10 because it's a b***h to paint those small lines on the helmet! It's just easier for me, especially when someone bought up all the clones! ;)
One thing they should do is Cody's Legion, and the 501st!

Are these for real?  Kinda funny that Hasbro would use the same #6 packaging with no other indications that this is the Shocl Trooper.  I'm kinda skeptical.

They look real enough to me, but I know what you mean. I've been reading toynewsi for many, many years, and as far as I can remember, they have never posted rumor or garabage. I think that it's a little starnge that these figures came out of nowhere without any previous mention of them, especially given how great that red Clone looks.

Look how the red ARC Trooper from the Saga line came out of nowhere. Anything is possible! Once in a while Hasbro has been known to throw a fastball at the collectors, now we wait to see if it actualy makes it to the plate. :smokin:

I wonder if that pilot is just a custom job.  Why would Hasbro do a black pilot like that?  There weren't any black clone pilots in the film.  There were V-Wing pilots and those firefighting pilots, but not black clone pilots.  Odd.   :-\

I'm starting to think that these figures at Galactic Hunter are customs. I was a believer until I saw the black clone pilot. Why would Hasbro make this version? It doesn't make sense. Why no change to the packaging for any of these repainted figures. I am now skeptical. I'll keep my fingures crossed though.

I saw these reported on another site that is reliable. I'm a little disappointed. I was hoping for more, some exclusive vehicles from the original trilogy, and some figures from the original trilogy. All these repaints are a little weak. I like the droid and troop builders though.

I doubt we'll be getting a Commander Cody figure.  That would involve sculpting something new, we all know Hasbro hates doing that.

Rebelscum said the final 12 are these:

1. Commander Bly from Felucia
2. Neimoidian Warrior with silver armor and force pike
3. White Grievous's Bodyguard
4. Wookiee Warrior (light) with soft goods tunic and grappling hook, detonators and club
5. Commander Gree
6. Passel Argente in yellow robes
7. Shu Mai (looks like the same figure but repainted)
8. Holographic Aayla Secura
9. R4-P17 - Obi-Wan's Red Astromech Droid
10. Wookiee Warrior (dark) with soft goods with Cannon from Yoda #03
11. Special Ops Trooper (501st Legion) - Super Articulated!
12. Holographic Plo Koon

Out of all twelve I can only see three that I want, and you know wich three I'm talking about! ;)
Why do we need two more Wookiees so soon?! Why are we getting two Holographic figs so close to gether, they should savethis treatment for exclusives!? R4 is ok I love Droids! The rest are a BIG WASTE!

1. Commander Bly from Felucia  Should have been Cody or Neyo!
2. Neimoidian Warrior with silver armor and force pike BIG WASTE!
3. White Grievous's Bodyguard BIG WASTE!
4. Wookiee Warrior (light) with soft goods tunic and grappling hook, detonators and club
5. Commander Gree
6. Passel Argente in yellow robes BIG WASTE!
7. Shu Mai (looks like the same figure but repainted) BIG WASTE!
8. Holographic Aayla Secura
9. R4-P17 - Obi-Wan's Red Astromech Droid
10. Wookiee Warrior (dark) with soft goods with Cannon from Yoda #03
11. Special Ops Trooper (501st Legion) - Super Articulated!
12. Holographic Plo Koon
BTW: shouldn't this figure have a sof goods robe so it's easier to fit into the ship?

Me too! If you look close the SA version has the stripes on the legs, where as the ones in the Battle Pack didn't. I wonder if this was done on purpose, and the SA version is Appo?
You also woudl have thought they'd make a SA Barc Trooper before some onf those figs!
Not one of these 12 figs is a new sculpt, they are all old molds with paint variations!

I must say, or the final 12, maybe only 6 I really want, though I'll get them all for the whole collection.  I must admit some disdain towards Hasbro for what seems like lazy toy manufacturing.  You would think with this being the final Star Wars, needing to hook collectors for a minimum of 18 more years, they would try harder to bring the best figs possible, not rehashes and repaints.  Very dissapointing.

You need to think like Hasblo.....they have you hooked right now!  so why give you new stuff all of the time?  No, they are gonna wait for the slow times and when they are here, BAM !!  In your face, nice new figures!  they have to string us along for 18 years .....  >:D

Very true, but that is us.  What about the kids who are younger and only a little into this?  What makes them want to keep collecting if the figures for the next year or two or ten suck?  Only time will tell, I guess!

:lightsaber:  Bring on the debates!  Or, maybe I'm just getting bitter in my old age of 28...Nah, I think Hasbro is just getting lazy.  To continually improve for so long since '95 only to slump off and go back to the same molds is pure madness!

c'mon Pat, kids are kids and when they are playing with a figure(like i did when i was young), they just play with it....it was Star Wars, so it was cool and would never suck(even though it did/does)

Young kids, yes, but what about teenagers?  Guys who have jobs to pay for a couple of figs here and there?  Don't get me wrong, I agree with your points as much as my own, I just get aggrivated when they use the same figure for 6 different projects, put it in a new set of paint/packaging, and want us to shell out $16 for it, or whatever the promotion is right now.  I just hope this doesn't become a trend and we start seeing the POTJ figs in 3 years repainted, then the Saga ones after that.

I believe this statement is true, why bring out the good stuff while toy buying is hot!?
Just release old molds with new paint deco, and they're all set!
When it slows down start releasinc the good stuff like Cody, Neyo, Faie, Fox, Cin Drallig, Lucas Cameo, new Senators!

Another very good and true point, but then you get into the marketing/retail dilemma...why order new figures when there are 10 pegs full of the same 2 figures in a new paint scheme no one wanted?  This is why it seems all of the Targets, Walmarts, Meijers, and K-Marts have all of the same 3 figures, and lots of them

Yeah I don't understand Hasbro's decision to re-release paint variants on figs not selling namely the Nemoidian and Pilot?

They're probably taking them back from all the vendors & retailers (since they were all flooded with these figs), and decided to recycle them back to the public by simply giving them a new paint job.  This rehashing s**t really pisses me off.   :lightsaber:

I have a question. When do exclusives stop becoming exclusive? You know what I mean? There are so many damn exclusives these days that I have lost interest. Every retailer has them. I just don't care anymore.

I don't think Hasbro gives a rats rear end about you, me or or the average collector. All they care about is is making a buck. And for the third time they dropped the ball. The first time was with episode I. Flooding the market with every possible figure and doing so from the git go was their first mistake. Then they overestimated the initial popularity of the movie.
Then they failed to realise the market that would collect the merchandise. This is not the late 70s and early 80s. The last three movies did not spring a new and exciting genre of sci. fi. movie on the American public. They did not create a whole new class of movie watchers that spent three years between movies in anxious anticipation speculating on the plot of the next movie, the background of the characters, what type of ships would we see and enjoying the beginnings of mass merchandising.
Todays preteen and teenager is more interested in Playstations, X-Boxes, Yugi-Oh, Bey-Blades and computer games. So many of them lack the imagination and the inspiration that is StarWars.
Hasbros handling of episode two wasn't any better. Hasbro realeased a huge amount of 3" figures but few of anything else. The 12" line was minimal, the ships and vehicles were sporadic and the play sets were almost non existant as well as the unleashed line.
Now comes ROTS. Hasbro's opportunity to prove they understand the complexities and the simplicities of keeping happy the collector and the average fan. Once again they fill the shelves with figures that are repeats and minor in their movie roles. Classic examples of repeats are the destroyer droid and Obi Wan Kenobi. How many Obi Wans do we need??? Minor figures with little or no popularity would be the Nemoidian warrior, Bail Organa, Grevous body guards and to a certain degree Grevous himself. I like the Grevous character but he is a one movie wonder. Much like Jar Jar Binks.
Now we hear that Hasbro is eliminating the Unleashed line. Personally I love this line. It's action packed and full of detail. Almost everyone I talk to is not happy with the elimination of this line.
Hasbro steps on their d#&$s again.
I'll end my part of this discussion with two final complaints. First of all DISTRIBUTION.
I have not seen a new figure, ship, play set or anything else in two months. No new Unleashed, No Commanders, No Tarkin wave, No 500th. Vader, No clone multi packs, No new figures from part 3 of the animated Clone Wars series, No new Anakin, No new R2D2( again why do we need another R2?) and many others.
Secondly and in my opinion Hasbro has handled their StarWars division as well as Gen-Con handled the CIII store at the convention. Without foresight, planning and imagination.
Bring back KENNER. They knew toys.
Light side, dark side, light side, dark side, light side, dark side. So many choices, so little time.

Very well said there Ron!  You couldn't have stated that obvious fact any better.  If it weren't for this site, there are so many items I never would have been able to add to my collection (so BIG thanks to those Troopers who helped me!).  I haven't seen anything new in my area in a long time (not as bad as you, but the new stuff since the Tarkin wave hasn't shown up).  Thankfully I have a wife who looks for new Star Wars stuff every day (to those people who hate it when I mention about my wife helping me out - tough s**t - you know who you are).  She was lucky enough to find me a couple of the newest Unleashed figures, but she searches and searches almost on a daily basis for me.   ;D

When is Hasbro going to understand that it's the COLLECTORS buying up all the s**t and not the CHILDREN!   >:(

You make a valid point on all those subjects, now that the initial push is over how likely are we to see these new figures at retail? The Shock Trooper, Bly, Gree, and Appo are gonna be very HTF items to locate let alone build an army IMO! :(  I've said it before and I'll say it again and again until they start fixin the problems.  :smileyfinger: Hasbro!
