EE Exclusive Astromech Droid Sets
« on: August 06, 2005, 12:33:28 PM »
EE now has these up for pre-order, Set #1 includes (subject to change): R3-T6, R3-T2, R2-C4, R4-A22, R2-Q2. Set 2 includes (subject to change): R3-Y2, R2-M5, R2-A6, R4-E1, R2-X2. The only ones I'm really looking forward to are R4-E1, R2-X2, R2-Q2, and R4-A22. At $40 a set it's rather spendy, but if you're a droid freek like me you'll have to get them! ::) What are your thoughts about these sets, Getting them or Not?

These really kick ass, and look a lot better than I anticipated!  I will more than likely be pre-ordering these soon, but which of the two sets are the Imperial pack and the Rebellion pack?

R2-X2 is the original astromech droid of X-wing Fighter Red 10 (Theron Nett) so I would assume the set containing him is the rebel one. ???

That would be cool, but $40 is more than I like to spend.  That comes out to $8 per figure!

I think that's too much money to spend on a bunch of rehashes.

I'm not terribly excited about this one, but I know I'll breakdown and get it anyway.

I received the EE Astromech droid sets in the mail yesterday. They are pretty neat, but definitely overpriced. Nicely displayed in the package. I'm still glad that I ordered them though. If they were a little less expensive, I would have ordered a second set to open. Too bad.

Just got my droid sets 5 minutes ago, got 2 of each and the holiday jawa.  Thanks to Tamer for 1 of the sets.  Got to go and find Tamer's last figures from the hoth wave.

This is why I probably wont be getting them, the lack of R5 style dome also turned me off. Why pay so much for an exclusive of droids when I'm going to remove them from the package? I'll just wait till someone offers them up on ebay loose.

Okay, so here's a funny question: Anyone selling/trading the Astromechs that they DO NOT want?  I was never sure if I wanted a set or not, but may be interested in getting a few if someone's going to sell or trade them individually.  Just a thought.

got my set this weekend. I like the looks of them. I agree about the price, but they look pretty good packaged up with info. about each fig on the back of the package.

If you just buy the droids and skip the jawa holiday they cost $69.99 + the shipping. My wife bought the 1st set off of ebay for 20 with the shipping and then could never get the same deal again, so I ordered the second set from EE. They display very nice in the package but my daughter would never stand for that.

I am waiting for clearance on these 2 sets.  I saw a Thanksgiving sale back in Nov, but I found after I was away from my computer and didn't get a chance to order it.
