Update::::

A few weeks back while at SW Fan Days 3
I was lucky enough to get my prize signed by the man himself,
Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett).

Someone took pics for me but sorry to say they didn't make it to the computer
due to memory card problems.
Now if I could only get Ralph McQ's autograph on it.

Thanks again Sandtroopers.com for my awsome prize!

I scooped a Clone Pilot bust the same weekend
at the con and also the animated stormtrooper.

I finally received my replacement lightsaber from Hasbro, unfortunately the Dooku lightsaber wasn't replaced. But on the brightside I received Yoda's fx lightsaber instead....which I love! So thanks again a million times SANDTROOPERS!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SANDTROOPERS.COM!

Today marks the tenth anniversary of the greatest Star Wars website on the Internet. It is a little bittersweet as one of our founders, Pat Carlucci, passed away this year. However a decade is a pretty amazing achievement and I sought out to do something rather unprecedented in terms of a celebration. Basically our anniversary tour kicked off in February at Steel City Con, and since then we've been all over this great country doing the best to spread our message of unity. From Steel City, to Kansas City, Motor City our Battle Station has dropped hundreds of dollars in prizes along the way. We also delivered a hefty donation to the Midwest Garrison Droid Hunt at the first EVER C2E2 convention in Chicago. I can only promise this, Sandtroopers.com will continue to give back to the collector and community.

While it is NOT the traditional party we are all used to, we'll be picking up the ten-year tour RIGHT after celebration. We have tentative plans to appear at Chicago Comic-Con in Rosemont, IL one week after Celebration V. We have definite plans to appear at the Chicagoland Entertainment Collectors Expo in September. It will be at these shows we'll announce the winners of the TBA prizes, that I guaran-damn-tee will rock your world! Many of you know Chicago, IL is our base of operations. We are looking forward to finishing the year strong with a few other possible destinations, so stay tuned to see if we are coming to a city near YOU! Thanks again to everyone along the way that has made this place so very special for ten years.

Well as sad as it might be to get away from the traditional Sandblast, the reality is it's about 5 times as much to ship a package these days. Therefore it makes more sense to blow stuff out at our "ground assault" campaigns, as I think it's better to meet face-to-face anyways.

That might be true, but it's a little disappointing to the people that spend their time here, day after day, that don't live anywhere near the Chi-town area... because it basically equates to a bunch of people signing up for the forum and winning a prize that same day. The people that are going to end up getting the goodies most likely aren't big fans or members of the site... they may not even know about it. While the people that support this place day in and day out will go away empty handed. Sure, we can all say "it's not about the prizes" but at the end of the day who doesn't like free stuff? I know I do. Even if it were just a box of tissues.
