2013 Wave 1

Announced at C6 today....

-Captain Rex (has new weapons and knee articulation)
-501st Clone Trooper with jetpack
-R2-D2
-Anakin Skywalker
-Obi-Wan Kenobi
-Battle Droid

I usually prefer to be one of the few positive/optimistic voices when it comes to Hasbro stuff, but I gotta rant about this. What an unbelievably lame start to 2013's Clone Wars line! It seems we're never going to see a new Clone Wars character show up in the line again. What really pisses me off is that we know that a General Krell figure has been made but postponed....WHY? Why isn't he in this wave?? Where are all the bounty hunters, secondary Jedi, etc.? So sad. What also pisses me off is seeing Phase II Rex show up again a mere two waves after his inferior yet still highly sought after initial release. It seems Hasbro has officially stopped caring about this line. I guess it was fun while it lasted. :(

Is it true that CW wave 1 won't show until next September?!?!?!  I thought I read that somewhere.

Good to see Hasbro sticking to a pattern.  A New Year & 1st wave that sits on pegs for 8 months.
Just like 2011 & 2012.

Why didnt they just make rex right the first time! People had to buy him online for a horrible price. Including me!  :emperor:

The only figure I want is the improved Rex. Glad I never found the original Phase II release. I notice Maul and Opress in our basic figure gallery too; are they being re-released in the basic line? Or is it just the two Target Battle Pack figures again?

Savage is the repacked figure from 2011 and the Darth Maul Retunrs battle pack. The only thing is that now Savage has his lightsaber. As for Maul I believe the only difference will be is a new head sculpt. Same goes for Obi-Wan and Anakin. They've got the same body from this years figures but new head sculpt,swivel wrists and ball hinged knees. I'll be getting rid of the ones I have now and get these instead cause their head sculpts look much better and more screen accurate.

I dont know if I'm going to get rid of my obi wan and anakin but the new definitely look like they are worth checking out.

I might not get rid of my Anakin and Obi wan cause I can have those figures doing one thing like being in a starfighter and the new figs from next year I can have them on my display area since they're more screen accurate. I like them a heck of a lot more then the previous versions
