Hey there!

How's it going? I'm Greg, Marketing Coordinator for Gentle Giant Ltd. I wanted to reach out to the Sandtroopers community and introduce myself. Anywho, I've been running Q&A threads on GGC, RebelScum, StatueForum and StatueMarvels for a while now, and now I'd like to expand out to the Sandtroopers community. So, hi! :D What do y'all want to know?

Greg,you guys have been doing an awesome job on the 12 inch vintage retro figures.How long to you think this series will go?Also,what is the info on the Cantina adventure set that was shown at SDCC and will it be set up at C6?

I am PGM & have a few of your products. With the success of Vintage 12 inch line,
Any plans to make 12 inch figures with updated molds to look more modern & accurate?

Any large scale statues coming? I love my Boba with Han in Carbonite Statue & Stormies
Any plans of doing a Yoda bust of Statue with Ep3 look.
I have been asking for years for Gentle Giant to do a Emperor Palpatine in Throne Statue sitting & smiling, completely evil looking.
Will Gentle Giant ever try to make ships? I'd like a detailed X-Wing, Falcon, Star Destroyer, Dstar etc.. like you do with mini busts?

I could ask 1000 questions?

Thank you! No, we're not looking at doing more modern figs at this time. The vintage line's enough for us at the moment.

As for statues, have you seen our new Darth Maul statue that we unveiled at SDCC?

No comment about a Yoda bust/statue.

Interesting idea about the Emperor. I'll pitch it.

No plans for vehicles at this time.

I LOVE the Spider-Maul statue and kudos to Gentle Giant for being the first ones out of the gate with that!  VERY cool and just shows again how much they are listening to the collector!  A novel concept isn't it?  :D

I take my Gentle Giant seriously. I started with old arm less busts & kept going, add some statues.
I have over 200 GG items. Thank you Gentle Giant for helping me along the way.

I would buy immediately a Emperor in Throne Statue for $200-400 if done accurately, like most products are done.

I always wondered why GG only did 1 Paply bust from Ep3? He is the true face of evil for all 6 movies & without him there is no story.
GG has never done a statue of him besides animated? I want accurate & detailed in the Master of Evil. I hope this happens.

Any chance we will see busts with light up sabers or other light up abilities like new Republic Commando bust?
It really would add to the display of busts. I'd have to get them all?! or try?

Not a question but some possitive feedback.I love the packaging solution you came up with concerning the Blue Snaggletooth.I am glad you didn't just stick him in a plastic back.Nice initiative.

Well, we try not to go back and "re-do" characters very often, and as a result some characters don't get revisited for quite a while. We're fixing that with Pappy.

Yeah, we've got quite a few light-up busts in the works right now. Getting lightsabers to light up is pretty tricky, though. Don't know if we'd be able to do that on something as small as a mini-bust, and if we could, I think it would be cost-prohibitive.

hi there im jason and im  a big time gentle giant collecter. i have every thing you guys have made since 2002 you guys are the king s**t to me. so here we go

1. why have we not gotine  a r2-d2 bust ?

2. it world be cool if you guys came out with a ev-9d9 and 8d8 min bust 2 pack will we ever get these come on killer droids

3. are you ever going to do a amanaman  plese no buddy dose him

Nice to meet you. :)

1) A mini bust of R2 is kind of tricky. Typically those characters are cut off at the waist. Aside from not really having a waist, R2's incredibly short... so how much of his body do we feature? If we cut him off where we normally do on busts, there's so little left to do, why not just do a full maquette? A similar example is when we started doing the Ewoks in Mini Bust format - in order to scale them properly, we were cutting the busts around the knees. Well, in the case of Ewoks, there isn't much below there. Also, as a character, R2 is a little too "simple" (for lack of a better term) of a design, that he actually becomes really hard to make look good in this format. However, that's not to say that you'll never see an R2 Mini Bust. We just really need to put some work in to make sure he looks good. :)

2) Thank you for the suggestion! I'll bring it to our product development team.

3) Again, another great suggestion. :) I'll certainly bring him up.

Wow, this is so awesome! Thanks for taking the time to address the ST community.

I second Lord-Penter's question about seeing more Jedi mini-busts. Saesee Tiin, Stass Allie/Adi Gallia, Ki-Adi Mundi, Luminara Unduli, Yarael Poof....any of those would be must-haves. Also, any plans to update Mace Windu in the mini-bust line wielding his purple lightsaber?

Also, and I'm sure this is one you get a lot, any chance you can tell us when we can expect to start seeing the other ESB bounty hunters show up in the 12" Kenner line? I'm super excited to see Bossk in 12" Kenner glory! 8)

We recently inquired to GG about doing a possible website exclusive, I WISH we could do a McQuarrie Sandtrooper!  However we were informed that this is not a possibility at this time so don't get excited guys. Blame LT. Renz if you're sad!  :D :P ;)
