Mandalorian Assault Transport
« on: February 06, 2012, 01:51:28 PM »

the lack of weathering really hurts the overall score
the wings rotate very much like the Slave One wings do, they do not move independently of each other
they do flip up, and each wing has 2 launching missles under

the cockpit holds 6 of the thinnest figures out there
Yarna and Malakili will need to find another way to get to Jabba's palace

I like this, but it could have been better with some weathering or battle damage
it's also a bit on the small side

overall I like it
I don't love it

no matter what, I'm glad it's finally a part of my collection

Pretty cool but their is some problems I do see with it and yeah weathering was 1 of them. But I won't go off record say that I don't want 1 when I wouldn't mind having 1 myself.

I noticed price change? demand? I won't pay over 30$. I would love to see repacked like all other vhx.? with Death Watch packaging.

We all know, it will be repacked and/or repaints eventually. We can count on it from Hasbro.

A hasbro rep at toy fair is quoted as saying no more of the mando ship is being shipped other than what EE is getting. I just pre ordered 2 from entertainment earth.

They said it was "coming back" to which I replied it NEVER CAME.  :-\ :-\  Went to dinner with Yak, JTA, Scum, GH and my roomie for this mission Mr. James Burns from Jedinews UK and we all agreed, sometimes you walk away from this s**t with more questions than answers!  :P

Do the reps even know what Hasbro is really going to do???
I'm sure they only have a vague idea & things change often, look at last year? I just want to eventually locate everything.

Over at JTA this is what they asked the hasbro rep at toyfaire:

Q: Many collectors have been frantically searching for the SOTDS Mandalorian Assault Transport at both retail and online stores. I believe the vehicle only saw release in Canada and know that it commands a hefty sum online. Does Hasbro have any plans to reissue this awesome vehicle to US collectors?

Hasbro: The Mandalorian Assault Transport unfortunately did not make it out in time. Retail has discontinued the Shadow Of The Dark Side phase of The Clone Wars line so there sin't a place for it on shelves now. Orders placed through Entertainment Earth should be fulfilled. That may be your best bet for this vehicle because this vehicle has not been considered for release anytime in the near future.

I wonder why they just dont put up on the HTS store and people can BUY IT there online at the online store. It would MAKE IT EASYER if they did that. I totally hate ordering from EE since you have to order more then 1 item useally cause they really don't have just 1 item for purchase. Plus the shipping is a killer at EE at well.

I can wait for retail price. Hasbro now knows we want/need it & they will rerelease it w/diff packaging, a price increase &
massive overproduction, making it a pegwarmer in the next few years. Paying $40+? Its hot right now? will it remain?
I saw auctions go as hi as $85? Scalpers love impatient collectors & we keep feeding them?

well that would make too much sense for Hasbro to do
I don't think HTS shipping rates is any better than EE's but it's been a while since I ordered anything from either of them

I preordered two of these on EE but doubt the order will ever be filled.  Got one in the mail via EBay today.  Cool little ship. I like it.

85? F that!  I got mine for about 50 and I know I overpaid....... But I'm still glad to have it.  Supply and demand I guess. We all want what we can't have.

I was able to get one loose from EBAY for under $30.00... Once I got my hands on it... I was just stunned at how much of a tight fit it would be to get 6 cw figures to sit in it... forget the regular figures - not enough elbo room.

You got a good deal. I've scoured eBay for two months trying to get a deal on this and a total of 50 was the best I could find.

OK I'm seeing Back to School stuff at Target and before you go jumping off a cliff on this one, WE might have one last shot of it surfacing at retail I'm wondering.  Let's face it, these were NEVER seen anywhere and there just might be cases out there that haven't surfaced due to the glut of Obi-Wan Starfighters, the V-19 and the other crap that is sitting out there. I KNOW the package has changed but I'm holding hope of finding it, maybe even on clearance.

Keep an eye open at the outlet stores like marshals, tjmaxx... I just found the Captain america tanks for 16.99... and the atrt and arf trooper 2 packs for 9.99.... so there is hope they will make it there. Retail hates ordering old stuff.
