Commander Hawk Pilot Helmet
« on: October 31, 2010, 08:14:49 PM »
EDIT::
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
I've posted some more WIP pictures several posts down in this Thred.
I wasn't planning on posting alot of them,
but I've had a few requests so here's u go and thanks for your interest
and very kind remarks.
As you can see there was alot of work to do.
I accually sold this to a good friend of mine that really really wanted one
and he decided on another costume so I bought it back from him
and began to be Bondo King and Sandpaper boy for a day  :o
I don't want to say my good buddy screwed it up a lil but it also had most of the regular mold imperfections and standard clean up when you first get them Raw and stil sticky.

But I love a good challange and really wanted to do a Hawk animated style helmet.
Any way, enough of that take a peep and post some feedback, much appreciated  ;D
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I Wanted to post a few pics of my paint up on my
SGB Clone Pilot Helmet.

Behind the scene's with Dave F.
He talk's about Hawkeye, Trapper and Commander Hawk
http://www.starwars.com/video/view/001096.html

I chose to do Com. Hawk for this helmet, and Matchstick
for my real world pilot helmet.

I've gone over sooo many screen grabs and
I've noticed that some of the pilots have black hose connect's that attach to the back of the helmet
and some are grey, so being that you never see the back of Hawk's helmet I choose black
sprayed with an undercoat of silver for weathering.

I speant some time on tring to match the colors so forgive me if color is off a bit.

Feedback is very much welcome!

More pics later today if I can get some decent shots.

I also managed to put my final coat on my Phase 1 Commander Bacara.
Since this helmet isn't canon I guess it doesn't really matter LOL.
I was thinking of doing the all white color scheme as pictured below,,,what you's think?

Sneak peak, I still got some stuff to fix.
Enjoy.

Nice!

Saturday I got my WCA Clone Wars Clone Helmet. Going to go grunt white so I can use it with my Armor.

Keep up the good work.

Congrats fellow helmet junkie LOL, I think the only one running neck to neck with me
on collecting helmets. I did sell off a few a while back because I'm running out od space
to put them. Even though I sold my Sandy costume because of my back,
atleast with one suit of clone armor and mutiple helmets and no backpack killing me all the time,
I'll enjoy trooping again sometime soon.

Here's some shots before I fixed a few things and then some shots from today since it
decided to stop raining after 3 days  ::)

I figured I'd show a few more WIP pics to show what
I had to do to get this helmet looking like Hawk.

Thanks for the props of the main site page Spice, much appreciated brother :)
The picture of the reflection of the woods
on the face of the helmet was right after I finished my 3rd coat of white
as the sun went down, thought it was a cool shot any way.
Enjoy.
