DRAGON CON
« on: July 11, 2010, 01:02:55 PM »
I know a few of you probably have heard of it. It's a big Sci-Fi/Fantasy convention held in downtown Atlanta every Labor Day Weekend. Very cool.

I have gone for 11 straight years. Unforunatly I will be missing it this year :'( due to C5
I'm pumped to be going to C5, but my heart is going to be with all the DC fans I've met over the years when I get back.

For those of you who are lucky enough to be going to SDCC and than to C5 or going to C5 than DC. You are very lucky.

I have been to Dragon con a few times. It's prttey cool though They didn't have any huge Star Wars Guests except for Mark Hamil back in 1996 though the way you got his sig was a little confusing. He was "only" signing Wing Commander but some fans slipped a few Star Wars items in.I never got is Autograph.

I love D*C. I usually go, but with C5 being only two weeks beforehand, there is just no way I can make it this year. I love D*C! Its like "home".

One year Billy Dee Williams was there. I was standing in line waiting for him for like an hour. Luckly one of his people came down the line and said he wsen't signing anything Star Wars :o. I was like "WHAT". He was only signing his new book he had out at the time. I still got his autograph a few years later at C III

It's one I don't attend due to personal reasons but I've heard terrible things about one of the owners and for that reason it's avoided by me / ST.  Sorry!
There will come a time when your training ends. There will come a day when you have learned all the lessons, when all my knowledge of the dark side will be yours. On that day you will challenge me for the title of Master, and only one of us will survive the encounter.

After doing a little reading, it would be a one time thing for me. At least untill one of the co owners dies....or no longer gets any of the profits from Dragon Con.

If C6 wasn't the week before I would be there, but C6 is more important.

In a perfect world I would be at C6, then the theme parks the few days in between and then Dragon*con, but I am a few thousands dollars away from doing that
