I met him outside the old Boston Garden after a Red Wings/Bruins game once. He (and a bunch of other Wings) autographed my Red Wings jersey. He was actually the only Wing to talk to me while signing, asking of I was from Detroit. I always respected him for that.

RIP Battling Bob.

definitely one of the tough guys back in the day. his fights with Domi, McSorely, and Clark were legendary. too bad his hard lifestyle finally caught up with him.
