FAVORITE VINTAGE TOY AS A KID OR NOW
« on: June 26, 2010, 09:06:16 AM »
Mine would have to be the "Death Star Space Station"
I still remember to this day the year I got it for X-Mas. It ws the coolest toy ever.

I had a chance to buy one a few years ago(still in the box) for $800, but knew I would open it. So I'm still looking for one that's complete that's opened

My favorite as well is the death star, I also had the palitoy card board version. nice but fragile. in later years my death star was a bit warped from high temps and I was able to swap some parts found at yard sales and painted the whitish floors with some navy greys to make it a bit more military looking.. but all in all - a great toy.

never had the death star so mine would be the millenium falcon with the at-at as a close second.

Melenium Falcon, Stil have mine in fact LOL. Almost still complete.

Now is tough because its hard to remember anything in recent years that could be "Favorite" nessessarly.  Maybe when the AT-AT comes out cause I never had the original.

Best toy then and now goes to Hammerhead, one of the first figures I had and really glad that I started with a really cool looking alien.

number two goes to the vintage rancor....even now many years and a few rerelases of it I still have it at the rancor in my Jabbas palace diorama.  It still looks great in there and I just haven't yet found a rancor that should replace it in my eyes.

The rancor     He was cool till an arm broke off.    Though at least then it was easier to get yoda out of his belly

my most favorite original vintage toy was the Imperial Shuttle, with the Death Star (US version) a very close second

I knew of the Palitoy Death Star and I wanted it real bad but never saw it
it was years later when I found out it wasn't sold in the USA
