We had some very interesting discussion about the breaking Jabba's Throne set but let us pick up the conversation here and leave get the Sneak Peek thread back on topic.

I've read some very interesting comments net-wide regarding this set and overall I think most people are impressed.  I too have to say the set has really grown on me, and I really do like it even though a few of the things I mentioned in my review point out what I do not.

Some have asked for exact measurements of the Throne and I came up with approximately 10 1/4 inches by 1.5 inches.  Note the height is maybe a 1/4 higher because of the lift the wheels give it.

Also the gargoyle rings are metal as a headless Tusken Raider was able to confirm this for us. Thanks again Hasbro!  8) ;) :D

Also I tried to pull apart the hooka to add Jabba's snack, but I think it's glued or molded together.  So the only big highlight was the chain coming off the neck.  I understand it's just the second Oola figure, but they'll never have to make another one.  8)

I'm really liking this set. It's nice to see some OT love! While it does have it's drawbacks they are outweighed by the good things about the set. It's going to be nice to replace the vintage set. For the many things Hasbro does wrong this is one thing the did mostly right. We have been asking for a new Jabba and throne for years. And for once they came through. Toss in the upcoming often requested cloud car, and AT-AT we always wanted.... OT collectors are going to have some nice treasures to add to their collections! I for one am going to support these items.

I just wanted to thank you, Darth Spice. That review was impressive. My son and I thoroughly enjoyed it. He wants one of these and I don't blame him. Oola alone makes that set worthwhile.

They actually sound fairly peeved off about the leak, no doubt the Jabba may have been the "big thing" to reveal for this year's Celebration V and that's now been scooped from them.  Beware an angry Hasbro...

Saw this in the stores today, was very very nice, I'll be getting one for sure, just after CV, don't want to spend all my cash before the con.....

If this is the "big" thing for the show, why is it in stores already?
