I forgot this was on IMAX I may have to hit it again for that. I saw it today with bosskmr and it was really good. I definitely think it blew away Iron Man. It took some time to get used to the different actor for his "sidekick", but he did a good job and Rooney is pretty darn good as Whiplash.

I think you mean Mickey Rourke dude. Mickey Rooney is a bit too old to play a comic book villian.  ;)

Him too you have hung around me enough to know I get all my actors confused. I couldn't tell you who played in what movie to save my life. I just watch them and if I like them I see them again and again. Doesn't mean I watch the credits to see who plays what or know the actors. lol

yep - we waited. nice scene.. we were the last 6 people in the theater... it is almost like nobody has a clue. it is a shame that people do not read the credits.. people worked hard to make a film..

I stayed til the end of the credits. I usually do for these movies. I do try to read the credits but I don't remember much about them after it is said and done.

Rooney?  I know!   ;) ;D   I did like the last scene, it filled in a question from earlier in the movie and previewed yet another HERO to come our way! WHOOOO HOOOO

Does anyone wonder if Thor will be as good or cool as Iron Man or the Dark Knight?  I mean all the Aye and stuff, I LIKE Thor but I wonder if this will actually be a good movie.

I personally find Thor a very interesting character but if they make it a mainstream movie it will be easily accessable for the noobs but probably at the expense of a good storyline and character development. If they go for the DIE-Hard fans it will be a great movie but not very succesfull.......and we can all fill out what happens next!

My thoughts Friday after seeing it at Midnight:

Saw both Iron Man movies last night. The first one was as great as ever. Still the best comic book movie I've seen. Iron Man 2 is the second best comic book movie I've seen now over TDK. Loved how they took Stark on the ride of going a bit dark and showing how he reacts to it by almost tossing it all away. Seeing all the new suits was great. Cannot wait for Hot Toys to get the Mark V and VI out to us and of course War Machine was awesome.

I loved how all the actors played off each other and thought it came out sweet! RDJ is just so perfect for Tony Stark its amazing! I truly think if Tony was real it would be RDJ. Jackson was awesome as Fury and can't wit to see more of him in that role. I would like to have seen more of BW role worked out better. Not enough background in the movie IMO and her fight scene has elements that just looked odd but that's really my only issue. I'm not a big Paltrow fan but dang she's hot and does well with pepper.

I'd give this one a solid 9/10 for me personally.

I'm thinking the supporting role I liked the most was John Faverau.  I thought he was very, very funny and I prefer the other guy over Cheadle too.  And I'm not trying to be an old crochety white guy but I don't like Sam Jackson as Col. Fury too.  Where's the cigar?  Didn't Nick Fury have a cigar?  Using the shield as a level was also very, very humorous.

I thought the movie was awesome. I think TDK was a better movie, I loved thisone just the same. I am really looking forward to Thor CptAmerica 1, 2, 3 and the 3Avenger movies.
If the Keep Jon Fav as the director the other movies should be just as good.
Rooney, I mean Rooke did a great job as Ivan. I wasnt expecting him again at the end of film for the final conflict the way he did , I didnt see that coming so that was great.

Gwen as Pepper did does have the certain attractivenss for sure.

But man o man did Scarlett as BW look HOT, I mean sweeeet,  did I mention hot?  and she kicked ass too.

Im sure we will definately see more of her in the Avenger films.

Ironman 2 a definate must see.

You'll be glad you did Wormie.  I too like the development of the rest of the universe movie to movie.  I am interested to see how Spiderman comes into play since they're rebooting that series.  I'd love to see a darker Spidey!  ;)

SPOILER ALERT  GO BACK or don't scroll down:

ALSO in the previews or trailers you see him kissing Pepper, her throwing the helmet out of the plane and him saying "you complete me" and falling out of the C-130 chasing after his helmet.

In the movie, he just jumps out, Shoot to Thrill starts and ass kickin commences.  I guess that's the first cut scene?  ???

I believe that the scene of ScarJo shooting with the Iron Man hand is not in the movie either. So thats another. Happens all the time though in movies and will probably be on the Blu Ray copy.

In the trailers I've seen for the movie, she never kisses him. I think he asks for a good luck kiss and she plants one on his helmet before tossing it out of the plane.

I liked this one more then the first honestly. It just seemed to have more depth to it and a better villian. They still need to work on giving their villians longer fight scenes and to be a bit tougher.
Acting was solid and RDJ was good again, even though you really want to punch him during most of the movie.
I also stayed till after the credits (I have for most movies since missing out on the scene after X-Men 3) and I'm not too excited for Thor, but I'll see it just to tide me over for The Avengers when in comes out in 2012. The actor who will be playing Thor is Chris Hemsworth who played Captain Kirk's dad in the Star Trek movie that came out last year.

Saw this today and chalk me up in favor of the original over this one. It was good, but they fell victim to the oldest "curse" in comic book movies...they tried to introduce/reintroduce too many characters. Just too much. Give me the hero and 1-2 villains max.
