I didn't like it quite as much as some others did, but it was actually far better than I initially suspected. The people I saw it with were kinda...clueless. I kept saying, "It's Sam Raimi, so yeah," but they're apparently unfamiliar with his style. Only after the movie did they realize that I was trying to say it was sort of horror-comedy. On that note, it succeeded on both fronts. It didn't really scare me (but then, not much really does), but the humor was great. Much like My Bloody Valentine, the over-the-top-ness worked to its advantage.
