PGM in 2009
« on: December 05, 2008, 12:23:09 PM »
So I logged into my GG account this morning looking to see if they mailed my 2008 gift.  I notice the Membership Auto Renewal Enrollment Status on the "My Account" page.  It got me thinking if I would renew for next year.  It did help me get the Holo Maul & Clone Armor Obi-Wan mini-bust.  Not to mention if I didn't have help with the FP Galactic Marine from Jamie and ordered my Airborne Trooper from sws.com, I could have easily have picked them up with the PGM status.  BTW, both are still available for PGM'ers.  I am hoping I can be as lucky with the Coruscant Guard Clone Trooper Maquette, later this month.

Right now I opted out and the auto-renewal is set to no.  It really depends on financial situations early in 2009 for me before I can really say yes.  Also I would really like to know what the PGM gift will be.  Right now, I am at a maybe.  What are you thoughts on PGM for 2009?

Depends on what the spring subscriber summer Christmas gift is next year. At this rate, we won't get the 2009 gift until 2011. I wonder if they will say what it is up front, and I wonder if people didn't join up in 2008 because of the Classic bust.

I may actually not renew it this time.  I will have to see again what is in the mix for exclusives next year and what the PGM gift would be.  I, like Odie, also had great help from the troopers abroad to get somoe exclusives, so I have not really used my membership this year, other than to pick up the exclusives for the troopers that are not members of the PGM.

I will be renewing mine im pretty sure. Its not really that much money and although i have been lucky enough to get most exclusives thru trades etc... this year it is nice to have the knowledge that i could have got them thru the PGM. Still this year ive used my account to order, Holiday Cody bust, Werewolf Lupin variant bust and the Fred and George Weasley bust 2 pack so its been kinda worth it anyway. I guess since i collect both the star wars and harry potter lines i get more out of it.

Dear Valued Premier Guild Member,

Listed below are the incentives and benefits for the NEW Premier Guild Membership. You may have seen some changes on the website but most of the changes will be activated no later than MARCH 2ND, 2009.

If you have renewed your membership recently, please disregard the note that says you are eligible for the EP II Blue Clone Classics Bust. Once we have the the pre-order mpdule set for this year's gift we will notify you via email and post a blog.

Premier Guild Membership 2009

Incentives and Benefits

Cost: $60 annual fee plus shipping & handling of free gift

2009 Free Gift Options:  Animated Clone Wars Rex (realistic version) Mini Bust
or a Gold Electroplated Vader Helmet

Membership changes are officially effective on March 2, 2009

Disclaimer:  Thank you for your interest in joining the exclusive Gentle Giant Premier Guild. The 2009 membership will cost $60 and will expire on December 31st 2009.  This includes all memberships purchased from January 1st 2009 to December 31st 2009.   Each member will have their choice to receive 1 of 2 collectibles offered as their annual gift with the option to purchase the other.  All members will need to pre-order this gift no later than May 30th 2009.  After this date, gifts are available while supplies last and cannot be guaranteed.  If it happens that a customer joins after the Premier Guild after May 30th 2009 and there are no gifts available, a voucher/credit will be issued for use on a future product of equal or lesser value.  No substitutions will be allowed.

We will continue to acknowledge all Premier Guild Memberships that were purchased after the initial renewal period in 2008 until they expire this year.  However, if you purchased a 2008 membership and it doesn't expire until later this year, you will still need to renew your membership to be eligible for the 2009 gift.

For example:  If you joined in July of 2008, your membership is good until July of 2009 and you will continue to receive all the benefits of the Premier Guild; however you will not be eligible to receive the 2009 gift until you renew your membership for the 2009 calendar year.

We will be taking pre-orders until May 30th 2009 for the free-gifts and recommend if your 2008 membership expires any time from February 20th to December 31st, that you pre-order this piece.  You will be charged the $60 annual membership renewal fee at the time you renew or purchase your 2009 membership. Because of that, I am renewing my membership, the Rex will be mine .....wish they would post pics of the Rex and the Vader helmet.  Now, I like the idea of a monthly give-away of an archived item, like the Padme Maquette or the Blackhole stormtrooper bust......Castle, now may be your chance to get one  ;)

Based on this I will prolly shell money to get both items.  I love the mini-helmets and a gold Vader would look good with the Riddle and MR ones I have.  :)

The Rex mini bust is suppose to be ready for pre-order for PGM'ers.  You need to log in and all that fun stuff.

Hmmmm, it shows the retail of the Rex as $59.99, and the Vader helmet as $69.99... but you can get one free and purchase the other. Guess it makes sense to get the helmet for free and pay for Rex at that point if you want both. I wonder if there is a time limit on when you can order these, as I'm on the fence about the Vader helmet. I'm definitely getting the Rex, but I'm waiting to see a pic of the Vader helmet before I decide if I want it or not.

WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!

I am too afraid to click Vader... I am going to go ballistic if this doesn't let me order, it is the ONLY reason I signed up for this and those POS's didn't even have the courtesy to answer my first email about the fact that their website wasn't even remotely updated, nor did I get ANY confirmation that these were available for preorder. I had to find out HERE.  ::)  ::)  ::)
