Toydarians and Hutts and other such species
« on: September 23, 2008, 03:58:03 PM »
It's been established in the Saga that Toydarians and Hutts are impervious to Jedi Mind Tricks.  In the EU, the Yuuzhan Vong and ysalamiri are resistant to the Force.

On the other hand, the Prequel Trilogy and EU have also widened berth to the fact that virtually any species in the galaxy can be born as Force-adepts.

So my question is this -- are Hutts, Toydarians, and other Force-resistant species capable of being Force-sensitive?  Are there yet any examples of this in the books, comic books, or other Star Wars media?

I wouldn't count Tahiri/Riina Kwaad as being necessarily a Yuuzhan Vong bearing Force powers...she wasn't born into the Force, rather shaped by the Vong and her Jedi self was sort of hybridized with Yuuzhan Vong technology.

I know there was a hutt Jedi in one of the books. Can't tell you which one though. I just remember reading about them being able to propel themselves very fast with their tales.
