This was just posted on MTV blogs. Looks like the live action show is going to focus on the behind the shadows side of things. It could be focused on bounty hunters and how they get around the law to get the job done. Or it could be Sopranos with a blaster gun. Who knows? Your guess is as good as mine. What do you think this will be? |

It's either going to be "Days of our Lives on Tatooine" or it will be good, like a BSG/Stargate/Farscape. Then again, I guess that depends on if you like those shows. I don't have very high hopes tho. The cartoon will end up being the better of the 2 shows, by far. They set the bar high with this new cartoon, and the live action show more than likely won't reach it. |

No Darth, no Emperor and no Jedi. It will be interesting to see who the heros are. The villians are easy to produce.
If there's no Emperor will there be a dark lord that rules the galaxy or at least the general vicinity?
3-PO and Fett. That's a good start.
Will we see R-2, a younger Luke, Solo, Chewie? Sounds like we may have snippets of Leia.
The next question is will we see a great number of new ships and vehicles? If we do will any of them cost less than $64.99?
What about costumes? Stormtroopers are a given. New characters may mean new costuming opportunities.
To bad the show isn't closer to being ready. It would be a great tie in for Celebration V.

It'd be a safe bet ILM is doing the special effects! Also I've heard that there will be no Skywalker in this series at all. It's Star Wars, but won't have much to do with the story of Darth Vader. I don't see how you can do that, but we'll see. I'm sure we'll like the live action series more than the animated, they KNOW they have a lot to live up to.

Do you think this will be out before Celebration V? It could be an added bonus to the convention. If it is handled in the way Lucasfilm did with RoTS at C3 the constant teasers, snippets and previews adds another level of excitement and anticipation.

From all the info that's "leaked" around the net, they haven't even filmed one second of footage yet. At best, you might get some kind of 'teaser' filled with a lot of footage from the movies. |
