2013 Figures
« on: August 07, 2013, 02:42:58 PM »
So. What do you think of the new 2-pack figures that have out?
They are cheaper (2for $10), but no articulation. Reminds me of old vintage figures.
My son got some and they are easier to stand up ;D

Yeah.
Plus they have the "Legends".
Single figures for $5.99 and no articulation to them.
Seems the figures went old-school along with a cheaper price tag.

many of Hasbro's new figures are 5 POA
I've seen Marvel figures now too, Classic Thor, Hulk, Cpt America and Iron Man

they all look awful

I think Hasbro saw what Mattel was doing with the Green Lantern figures and thought it was a good idea
boy were they wrong!

Seems Hasbro is looking to sell "quanity" and not worry about "quality"
Plus it's all the same figures we are used to seeing. Prequal Anankin, Kenobi, Yoda, etc  ::)

This what we call Corporate cutbacks.. They put less into products & we pay more for them..
Look at food packaging... You get a smaller portions & pay more..
This all goes back to the Global Economy, China is cutting back too..
If you remember this all started in 2008-2009 & is the  "New Normal" now...
I admit.. I worry after Xmas? Will Black Series be given same treatment as Vintage Series?
We see wave 1 & 2 for years & not much else...which cause secondary markets to increase their prices based on demand..
It all goes back to rule #1 in Economics... Supply & Demand...Hasbro has not supplied what we demanded for years now..
Just look at late Vintage waves prices now..

I agree star fox.  Hasbro is saving me lots of money producing toys I don't want.
