Hee hee. In Fence's defense, he does have young kids. Speaking from experience, they do tend to rule the radio on long trips.

Currently listening too down and sad music, cause that is what I am.

Nothing wrong, just ashamed of a lot of things in this world.

I am sure its not all your fault. Don't be too hard on yourself!

No worries Coleman, I'm ok, just confused, and worried for my kids, in this new world.

Who isn't, the only problem is the more careful you are the more f****d up it gets! maybe retreating to a quiet Bastion on Mandalore isn't such a bad idea after all.

I usually listen to electronic music, ambient, world/fusion, ethno, new age and related genres. Artists: Vangelis, Jean Michel Jarre (missed his concert in Bucharest by 2 weeks though), Mike Oldfield, Enya, Kraftwerk, Kitaro, Medwyn Goodall, Dave Arkenstone, Pink Floyd etc.

on the way to work I listen to Opie and Anthony, which is a radio talk show that is broadcasted across the country. On the drive home I listen to Toucher and Rich a local radio show. Other than that you will find either Jimmy Buffet or some 80's or early 90's rap (NWA, Eazy-E, Ice Cube, Cypress Hill, House of Pain, Run DMC, etc). With that said I don't really like today's rap unless it is LL Cool J, Dr Dre, Ice Cube, Snoop, or Cypress Hill.

I don't listen to the radio.  Well, sometimes over dinner, but that's all.  In the car, it's my MP3 player, and at home, it's my media player.

I listen to all sorts of stuff though.  I'll be driving friends around and they'll comment on how...eclectic my tastes are.  Mine is the only car where you can jump from Johnny Cash to Metallica to the Beatles to Flogging Molly to Weird Al.

Lately though, I've been fixated on a certain sound: alternative, electronica, indie...it's a bit hard to describe exactly.  If you listen to , , The , , or , you might get the idea.

Most of the time though, it's just alternative, indie rock, and the like.

I listen to a lot of soundtracks and numerous artists from the 80s, as well as some country and a mix of other music styles except pretty much anything newer than 2000 and rap. I have everything from "Weird" Al Yankovic, to the soundtrack from "The Hunt for Red October," to Phil Collins, to John Williams in my playlist, so most people think I have an odd taste in music. When you hear something good though, style and artist don't matter IMO.  ;)

Here lately I've been on (Anthrax - Persistence of time) and POV videos and ALL their music with Joe belladonna not the John bush days.
Be all... and you'll be the end all!... I love that song! I've only recently gotten into Anthrax, but I'm anxious to hear their new album. They're supposed to be rerecording some of their classics with the new singer.
My opinion is just that, MY opinion. If you don't like it, just ignore it.

Dude, I have young kids too, and my 5 year old son's favorite band is Black Sabbath, so kids are no excuse!

I wish I could still listen to Kiss' music and still enjoy it. Since learning what Gene Simmons truly is all their music does is bring me down.

Outside of the great hits by Bob and Tom my genre runs Scorpions, Ratt, Styxx and Queensryche.
Add a little Stray Cats to the mix.
Light side, dark side, light side, dark side, light side, dark side. So many choices, so little time.

Dude, I have young kids too, and my 5 year old son's favorite band is Black Sabbath, so kids are no excuse!

And right you are. My girl of nearly 4 always asks to put on the Ah-ah-haaa song. Which means I have to put on Immigrant Song. Funny thing is, up till last week or so she'd always thought the third verse wasn't part of the song. I always had to restart after 1:50 or so  ;D Now she doesn't bother anymore and even hums along with the outro, which she thinks is a ghost  ;)

There's a risk involved of course. Later, when their musical tastes really develop, they might say Sabbath, Zep and the likes are kids' songs  ;D
