Monday's show was definitely picking up steam again and next week is looking good!  I agree with you Erik about Jack going into CTU with the new info instead of putting Curtis in a sleeper hold!

Season 4 is already better than Season 3.  Really enjoying it!
I like how Jack detains the dude so they could have time to reposition the sattelite.

Well...I understand that part...the other guy wasn't going to comply if he brought CTU in...but once he was dead...why go out alone?  Why not go in and say, "I understand, punish me later, but right now you need me to go after the 19 canisters."

Of course, that's typical...maybe the producers want to go a different direction...emphasize that Jack does things best by himself.

I think that Jack knows that if he went back to CTU that he would have to deal with all the BS involved and he doesn't have "time" to do so. Plus why bring CTU in on something if they are only going to make things more difficult? I think Jack has a better chance on his own. I do think that these terrorists are going to somehow find out he has a daughter and use her as leverage to use Jack. I hope I'm wrong because I hate guessing what happens on this show.

Okay so this hour was pretty good! There wasn't much of a suprise but the show was well done. I loved how curtis stood his ground and I can feel some really good suprises coming up! The cool thing is, that next week we get 2 hours of back to back 24! And they look really, really good. I am interested how the president is going to come out of this day clean! I mean there has to be a catch in here somewhere..... Anyway this season is shaping up to be the best!

Way to go Jedisearch....you're close to joining us in the fray!

Well, as wicked knows, I work Monday nights, and have to "catch up" via other means.  Over the next couple of days, I should be completely caught up in the episodes.

I will say this, though....I read the USA Today each morning, and they just HAD to open their big mouths.   :flamingmad:

:o  Oh no!  I hope to God it wasn't Jack who got killed last night!!!!  All I saw of USA Today was that someone got killed...didn't read the article to find out who.

I don't have Tivo...but there's always another way.  Wicked...you know what I'm talking about. ;)  Enough said.

Incidentally, I did get a chance to get completely caught up now.  And yes...last night was tragically sad...not just to whom, but in how.

Steve...when you get to Season 5, drop me a line, and I can help you get caught up to this point.

This whole season is excellent....the best so far.  Season 4 kinda lost us towards the end, but they're keeping strong on this one.

Very few shows keep increasing their quality as time wears on.  In every behind-the-scenes feature on 24, the writers, directors and actors seem desperate to find ways to keep the show fresh and exciting...they push themselves hard, and look what the results have been.  Occasionally, they slip (middle of Season 3), but for the most part, they've done exceptionally well with what could have been a very limiting format.

I was suprised that jack shot that "person" in the leg! that was intense....! and from what it looks like, someone in ctu will die next week (out of the people left)... Maybe that doofus who kim is with! or kim herself (no, they wouldn't do that).

Jedisearch: cover your eyes!

I thought the shooting her in the leg was the most predictable thing in that show...but I still thought it was cool.  :)   Typical 24 protocol: if you want someone to talk, go after the family.  The surprise (to both Jack and us) was that it didn't work!   :o

I like bringing Peter Weller on the show, and I'd love to see what direction they will be taking in the next couple episodes.  Unfortunately, there's a very predictable result for the next show, especially if you think about who he is currently laying next to.  ;)

Someone will make the ultimate sacrifice....I believe those were the words used to describe the potential death.  Well, since they ANNOUNCED it, then it's likely not going to be a major character (Chloe, Tony, Kim--wish it was though, or Audrey).  Generally, major characters being killed are a COMPLETE shock.  Most likely, it will be Lynn, as a way to redeem himself from his previous actions...my second choice is Buchanan, but I don't think they're going to two regulars back-to-back (then again, they killed two regulars within the first five minutes of this season...).

As far as the guy Kim is with, I think he's safe; why cast C. Thomas Howell if you're only going to use him in such a limited capacity?  Remember, they kept Paul around for several episodes before finally doing him in.

Well the leg scene was intense and yeah, I was shocked too when it didn't work. Keifer is a master at facial expressions!

Bill better not eat the farm, I love that guy!!!!! Lynn would be a good call though. I have a feeling that the next hour will be them getting out of ctu. I just hope that jack can break "weller" because I'm really interested to know what he knows. I am also wondering what direction Tony's character will go. I hope he get a gun and follows jack around on some sort of revenge!

Day 5:
7-8 pm

This hour was what I thought it would be about (getting the gas neutralized) but I was suprised by a certain death and an escape, oh and an obvious death! (I will not say who) Out of all the seasons, Jack is really getting torn apart this season! That poor man has nothing left, I mean holly cow! I can see some interesting plots growing here and I hope that the show continues to be elevated by suprise and shocks! Not a bad hour, however it had some really dumb moments.

Is it just me or is this president a real winner?
