Yeah, I really like the way this show turned out, the only thing is every time I see a new character I'm thinking it a Damn Cylon!

I agree Shade. Last nights episode where the Cylons infiltrated the Galactica with an advanced model that could only be stopped with explosive rounds was an on the edge of your seat thriller.
Five years at least. Hopefully more.

Couldn't agree more.

They alway do That! I hope nothing happens to the Pegasus, it would be cool to keep around.

You said it Fox. What a great way to start the new season.
Admiral Cain is definately the biggest bitch in the galaxy.
Loved the new Cylon central processing starship.
I would also like to have a model of the Stealth Fighter. Along with a "fully functional" Starbuck as the pilot.

With what happened while he was in command of Galactica I doubt it.
Captain Morgan.

I liked the show with the "scar" cylon they had to take out. this past week with the hostage situation was pretty weak in my opinion. I love the space battles, leave that soap opera crap somewhere else. I want to see some kick butt, debris flying, missle whacking, tracer soaring combat! man, even captain kirk said "fire" every once in a while. I am so sick of everyone on the Galactica feeling sorry for themselves I could :puke:

Okay, so I am looking into picking this series up on dvd and wanted to know if it was worth a rent or a buy. I sort of liked the original series but have heard this is better. However I have heard that it suffers from too much drama and from what I have read from your posts this may be true. So is this show worth getting into?

In my opinion, absolutely.
My suggestion would be to rent season one. If you enjoy it buy it.
Then you can find a way to get caught up this season.
Yes this series is more dramatic than the original. But the personalities are deeper and more complex. And the mechanicals are impressive.
Stick with it. I think you will enjoy it.

While doing some shopping this afternoon I stopped into my local movie hutt and looked to see if they had it. Of course it was out so I'll have to wait five days or so. This is like the 4th time I've went to see if it was in and it wasn't. That alone should say something. Is there a difference between the series on the Sci-Fi channel and the UK version?

i am gonna get it, because as much nostalgia as the original has, this goes beyond and there is a great story being told.....some shows are "filler fodder", but for the most part, it is quite exceptional!

What this series needs is a full blown, no holds barred, spare no expense, the hell with the censors love scene between Starbuck and Cylon #7.
YEAH BABY! That would raise the ratings.

darn, I am missing it. trying to chat, look at pm's and having dial up all at the same time wasnt conducive to me paying attention to the tv so I pushed record and will watch it tomorrow. figured it would be pretty good.
