I want this so bad man, just hope I can find it. When you think about it for a second, it's a steal when compared to the ridiculous overcharged $65 pricetag on the ARC-170 and CW Y-Wing Bomber ships. That's a total joke!

a two seater for 40bucks... yeppers, she's a taker. and swapable guns.. old school collectors like the realistic weapons and the kiddies will love the swappable blasters that launch projectiles.. I only wish there were two pilots instead of one..

It does kick arse!! Solid construction and not a droopy chicken walker. This changes the the toy line.. now for an up sized  AT-AT!!

Hasbro has been doing a great job with the new vehicles ever since the Falcon and AT-TE came out... now we've got the new AT-ST, Turbo Tank, Octuparra Droid, Tank Droid... wow.  Hope the fans support this year's offerings enough for Hasbro to continue this trend next year.

I saw someone report problems with the head being too loose (this was over at the RS forums) and could fall off if bumped.  Anyone who has this encounter a similar experience so far?  I was quite shocked to hear of something like that...

I want one really bad, I don't have an AT-ST since I started collecting again and eBay prices are mostly out of what I want to pay to rip it open.

Does any one has the UPC# from the receipt? My local WM is upgrading to Super Walmart and things have been very slow. They are using their parking lot to store contruction stuff and machinery  :'(.

With the UPC # I can call other stores in the area.

This walmart exclusive doesnt really do it for me. I already have the target exclusive at-st a while back and they basically look the exact same. This is not worth 43.00 in my opinion. IT does still look good though for people who dont have an at- st yet.

Here  you go uncle george : AT-ST  065356943506  If anyone knows the dewback upc, let me know?

Okay guys this one is much bigger than it's predeccessor,  It comes with one new driver that needs better articulation......the head does fall off the walker intetntionally if you pull it off.... it seats 2, all new cockpit, with opening visors, the guns are interchangeable on the chin guns...  this is the utlimate edition of the At-st and worth getting for 43 bucks... sorry walmart I won't buy 2 at this price......but heck ya I'll buy 1

One Wal-Mart in my area didn't have any yet (probably because of the 20 some Exlcusive Evo sets clogging the shelves) and will be checking the other one tonight. Keeping my fingers crossed cause this set looks sweet!

the best part is that the chin guns are not rubbery.. solid toy. stands tall and does not get droopy like the original.. a few picks for size comparison. The head will fall off if you knock it around or make it crash... ok.. I like it!!

Lucky you, I have not been able to find it at all. Even with the UPC number provided above by darthdan. They do appear in their system but none in stock and ''non replenishable'' which I believe is OK for an exclusive. All this time the Octuptarra droid has only been available in my area in just 1 Walmart out of 7 or 8 stores. There is still room for the scalpers at this rate.

after opining up a few of my scout walkers.. I noticed the drivers are not in the best of shape.. some of them have stuck pivot joints.. so bad they will snap off if moved.. and some legs with the foot badly bent at a 90 degree angle in the wrong direction.. other than that.. the walkers are the best.. a few test shots..

Boba Binks has also added a comparison frame to our guide so you can see how it stacks up to the old PotF2 / vintage mold.

I guess in star wars lore a single seater could be the predecessor to the two seater.. If you have ever play star wars battlegrounds - there is a single seater before being upgraded to the up armored scout.. so anything is plausible ... I am sure there has to be a true evolutional line of scout vehicles.. AT-RT, AT-PT, light scout (single seater), heavy scout (2 seater).. that works for me!!!

I was out for a few days, thanks a lot for your willingness to help, what Sandtroopers is all about!

I found them yesterday in the one and only WM that brought the Octuptarra Droid and so far in my nearby stores they are still the only one store carrying them since they were introduced how long? 2 months ago? more? Max Reebo Band sets were waaaaay back then also available in random stores  ???

Anyhoo, as darthdan, I couldn't resist and picked a second one. In my humble opinion, this is a great improvement over the old toy starting with two seats, double opening hatch, opening viewport shield, interchangable missile cannons, roof railings (nice touch) and overall better figure to vehicle scale ratio. Speaking of figure, I felt that I got a 2001 POTJ figure with it. Articulation is very poor, at least I would have loved to have at least knee articulation.

I look at this new toys as small props/replicas and this AT-ST is a good example of what Hasbro can deliver when they want to. Some might argue this, that's OK. I recently handled the Limited Edition Code 3 AT-ST and this toy from Hasbro doesn't have that much to envy a real limited edition counterpart in terms of details per scale. I have opened and disassembled one of them (new Hasbro toy). Interiors details are gone including stickers. Will be adding more details and weatherize the interior. Waiting to prime the outer shell maybe today and waiting for my airbrush to get back from the repair shop.

I wouldn't pass on the BMF because I had a few versions of the old mold, would you? Even if I had a ship yard of the old AT-ST, I wouldn't pass on this one even at $43.88 + tax in my area.

Code 3 version

I think you could although we don't have the actual at-st hijacker ewoks yet..... but using other ewoks you could.

ok.. i am pissed.. Out of the 6 scout walkers I purchased.. 2 have leg joints that are cracked - right out of the box and 5 out of 6 drivers have frozen arm joints that will snap off if moved.. like 2 that have already suffered that fate.. WTF!!!! Where is the quality control????

here is a pic of a broken leg loop, attempted to glue with epoxy - did not hold. will have to go with something stronger. have to be careful to not use the glue that gives off a vapor or it will discolor the plastic.. yellowing or white cloudy appearance.

And you don't return these defective products to walmart right away and demand your money back..... because?  Remember you are the consumer, you have certain rights.....

well, several weeks have gone by since the repairs have been excuted.. well..krazy glue gel worked the best ,, not rebreaks or stress fractures from the legs while being moved.. I believe the legs broke from being on too tight in the first place.. anyhoo.. how about them atst drivers with the sticky limbs??? anybody else have problems with these???

mine is workinf fine so far. No problems with the driver or AT-ST. Is the damage noticable before you open them? That way anybody who hasen't bought one yet knows what to look for.

Barve, the damage is not visible from the front or back.. it was only noticeable whe the legs are moved for the first time.. like there is no locking in positiom.. with further inspection.. a separation while the legs are moving..

I guess I will keep mine in one posistion and hope it doesn't turn out to be a broken one. It's a shame there is no way to tell before you open it up and start playing with it. I feel sorry for the poor kid who gets one of those bad ones on Christmas.

Michelle & I went toy hunting at lunch. Target blew terribly, but walmart did have 1 lonely at-st on clearance! I walked right past it but Michelle saw it. Good Girl! 21.20 with tax, not too shabby.

I've had this in the box for quite a while, but yesterday I decided to open it and did a video review of it. What are my thoughts about this newly designed AT-ST? Check it out for yourself here...

And don't forgot to check out the visual guide on this, in case you happened to miss it...

THAT was funny as hell dood!  I think the cockpit was greatly improved with the ability to seat two vs. the traditional one.  As bad as the recycled OTC Han AT-ST body is, I think it's an improvement on the PotF2 version.  I also dug the way you could move the viewfinders to recreate the scene where the Ewoks and Chewie take command!  However I really do have to agree with you about the legs.  THEY do suck and I almost thing it's a little TOO big, until you put it next to the new AT-AT.  :P 8)

Yeah, I totally forgot to mention about the two-driver cockpit. But, the legs really do suck on it, and I can't believe Hasbro released it like that.  ::)

Great video review Dustrho- hilarious when you popped the head off.

Your guns that were all out of shape - I'd try the boil and freeze trick. For new figs that often have deformed hands, weapons or legs I put boiling water in one large mug and  large mug of ice water (mostly ice with just enough water to make it a little liquidy) right next to it. have all your deformed stuff ready - pour the boiling water in the mug (I'd recommend some nice cooking tongs for this step) dunk the deformed part or parts in the boiling water - only for a few seconds. They'll be very gummy - if they didn't spring back to what was their original shape you can encourage them a little with your fingers. Next drop them in the ice water.

The ice water instantly hardens them - and I've found somtimes makes the plastic even stiffer than before.

hope that helps - and yeah I'd buy the AT-ST on clearance, but it's overpriced for no action feature and big fat thunder thighs and a crummy pack-in figure.
