INTRODUCTION
The elite TIE Interceptor Starfighter slices through space with its
dagger-like wings and ultra sleek design. Designed for speed and firepower, this Imperial TIE Fighter has four additional laser cannons mounted on its wings that the pilots use with devastating accuracy. As a space superiority fighter, the TIE Interceptor challenged the Rebel Alliance and was used extensively at the Space Battle above Endor.
This version of the TIE Interceptor is not just a repack. It has an
all-new designed cockpit area. The outside of the ship now has two laser cannons that can be pulled out. They stick so you have to pull really hard the first few times to loosen them up. The top hatch opens up and you see the detailed interior of the cockpit. The
pilot seat is removable and holds the included TIE pilot. No the seat does not eject, though that would have been a great feature.
The TIE Interceptor still uses the old blast off wings mechanism that so many kids love to recreate battle damage to the ship. The wings are the same old TIE Interceptor wings that we have seen on previous releases of this ship.
The TIE Pilot included has a removable helmet and has articulation to sit in the cockpit of the TIE Interceptor or to run around blasting the Rebels with his included blaster.
Overall this is a nicely redesigned ship but not for the $49.99 price tag. This ship could have easily been $29.99
- $34.00. Thus being an exclusive and with the new details means that the price is out of sight.
