INTRODUCTION
TIE Fighters swarm into space to attack the heroic Rebel Alliance forces! TIE Fighters are the standard starfighters of the Imperial Fleet. TIE Fighter Pilots are highly skilled, but they are no match for the daring and resourceful Rebel Pilots. TIE Fighters waged a fierce battle to defend the first Death Star from the Rebel attack.
This version of the TIE Fighter is not just a repack. It has the all-new redesigned cockpit area along with the red tinted window. The outside of the ship now has two laser cannons that can be pulled out. They stick so you have to pull really hard the first few times to loosen them up. The top hatch opens up and you see the detailed interior of the cockpit. The pilots’ seat is removable and holds the included TIE Pilot. No the seat does not eject though that would have been a great feature.
The TIE Fighter still uses the old blast off wings mechanism that so many kids love to recreate battle damage to the ship. The wings are the same larger TIE Fighter wings that we have seen on previous releases of this ship in the past few years.
The TIE Pilot included has a removable helmet and has articulation to sit in the cockpit of the TIE Fighter or to run around blasting the Rebels with his included blaster.
Overall this is a nicely redesigned ship for the $39.99 price tag. Target unlike other stores though being an exclusive with the new details did not jack up the price as we have been seeing as of late. Thank you Target, now if only other stores would follow your lead..
