INTRODUCTION
Battle Droids use Single Trooper Aerial Platform (STAP) vehicles to patrol a sizable amount of ground in a concise time period. If a droid happens upon Republic Forces, he can use the
STAP's blaster cannons, but his primary purpose isn't to engage the enemy but rather to look for trouble and if he finds any, call in reinforcements.
It's not without risk, since droids are completely exposed on STAP's, leaving them vulnerable to attack.
Hasbro has decided to use the mold for the STAP once again and even give it a new paint job. The color is more to the earthly browns used in Episode I
- The Phantom Menace. This is a very neat vehicle that should have seen more time in the films and hopefully in the Clone Wars animated television show. Not sure is the paint scheme on this
Toys-R-Us exclusive STAP will see television time or is it just another exclusive for
Toys-R-Us to have on their shelves? Only time will tell.
The Battle Droid does not come with a blaster since he is to busy piloting the STAP. He is also done in an earthly brown color very similar to the color of the STAP. The Diorama Backdrop to this vehicle shows
AAT's (Armored Assault Tank) colored in the blue Clone Wars television show colors. So mount up your droid army and find the Republic Forces before they attack!
