INTRODUCTION
"Not everyone found imbibing in the infamous Mos Eisley Cantina spelled trouble. A gentle Ithorian alien, the hammer headed Momaw Nadon was a surprisingly peaceful being sitting in a darkened booth that fateful day that Luke Skywalker wandered into the cantina.

Like most Ithorians, Momaw Nadon is a gentle scholar who spent much of his life devoted to the Mother Jungle. Ithorians revere nature, particularly that of their homeworld. To them, the steaming jungles and the lifeforms that dwelled within were sacred. As Ithorian technology developed, the aliens employed repulsorlifts to physically lift their cities into the skies, so as not to taint the blessed surface.

These floating cities, called herd ships, eventually took to space, spreading the wisdom and serenity of the Mother Jungle to different worlds. Momaw Nadon was the leader of a fairly well known herd ship, the Tafanda Bay."

As most people know I am huge fun of just about any alien species in the Star Wars Universe. Besides the 12-inch Greedo figure that Sideshow made so well I had to buy it, I was now "forced" into getting the 12-inch version of Hammerhead. I can say that this piece is done good but not great. The head is very loose and wobbly on the standard 12-inch Sideshow body, I would have thought they'd have gone with a larger torso with specialized arms and legs that were added on. The loose head really is not much of an issue since this piece will most likely just stand there in my collection, since I do not play with dolls!

What I do not understand about this piece is the choice of weapons. Ithorians are peace lovers and do not like violence. So why did Side Show give him an Imperial Blaster when this species would not use such a weapon? I guess you have to give him some sort of accessory right? They could have taken one of the cups out of the Nadon's Nook, but then what else could they include with that? I guess nothing could be worse than the double barreled blaster rifle Hasbro included with him in the Power of the Force line! If you get the Exclusive version of this doll you get an Ithorian staff accessory that seems more appropriate for this character than the blaster. Overall this is another great 12-inch figure. It is a character that has not seen much as in product, and any of the original four that came with the vintage Sears Cantina are probably a must-want for most collectors.
