INTRODUCTION
"A snivelling lowlife in the seedy underworld of Tatooine, Greedo is looking for his ticket to the big league. When he stumbles across wanted smuggler Han Solo in
Chalmun's roughneck cantina in Mos Eisley, the wannabe bounty hunter sees his chance to prove his value to his boss, Jabba the Hutt, and confronts the suave pilot. Apprehending a notorious rogue like Solo would certainly make Jabba take note, and could be the break Greedo needs to become what he aspires to
be- a feared and respected hunter, the pinnacle of achievement in Rodian society.
Sadly, this is not to be Greedo's day. Biting off more than his twitching snout can chew, Greedo collects a blaster bolt in the stomach from Solo instead of a fat reward from Jabba. No fearsome galactic reputation, the scrawny
thug's legacy is just another steaming mess for the long suffering bartender Wuher to clean up after closing time."
Greedo has always been one of my favorite characters from Star Wars. What is not to like about a really cool looking alien who gets killed pretty much in cold blood by Han Solo? Oh wait that was before Greedo shot first. Anyways,
Sideshow has pulled me into getting this piece since as I already said, Greedo has always been one my of favorite characters.
From the detail in the sculpting and cloth for the clothing all the way to the paint and application of the entire piece is really well done. I have not been very happy with most of
some of the other overpriced items but I can say that this 12-inch
figure is well worth the effort that Sideshow has put into this piece. There is also an exclusive edition of this piece that comes with a Wanted Poster of Han Solo. Is that worth an extra $5.00?
Probably not but I would not know since I do not have the exclusive version of this piece.
