INTRODUCTION
The TIE Fighter uses the same mold as the vintage TIE Fighter without the electronic sound effect. The wings have been upgraded to now include a texture on the wings instead of using decal stickers. Instead of being white in color as the original
vintage TIE Fighter it now is a bluish color. With the opening cockpit one action figure can sit at the controls and with the push of the buttons you can make the wings blast off to recreate damage taken from battle.
Propelled by Twin Ion Engines (hence the TIE acronym), TIE fighters are depicted as fast, fragile starfighters produced by Sienar Fleet Systems for the Galactic Empire. TIE fighters and other TIE craft appear in the original Star Wars trilogy - Episode IV: A New Hope, Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, and Episode VI: Return of the Jedi - and throughout the Star Wars Expanded Universe.
