INTRODUCTION:
The Theater Edition of Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight) was given away for free at participating movie theaters on March 14, 1997 for the release of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi
- Special Edition.
On the card the date is listed as March 7, 1997, but as we all know the release date of the movie was pushed back one week. This figure is limited to 150,000 pieces and is the same exact figure as the Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker released back in 1996.
Due to the high demand of this figure at the time several patrons bought several movie tickets and received many of this figure thus creating a shortage. Many of these figure ended up on the internet and at collector shops at highly inflated scalper prices.
