INTRODUCTION
The Crowd Control Stormtrooper is similar to the carded POTF2 Stormtrooper figure but with more weathered armor and a wider stance.
Since the jetpack and capture claw on this figure were never seen on film many consider this to be one of the first figures to be part of the Expanded Universe of Star Wars.
The Crowd Control Stormtrooper was a Stormtrooper variant often deployed in areas with high criminal activity, where they specialized in suppressing crowds and quelling uprisings. Small squads of these soldiers could easily handle mobs of fifty or more, due to their crowd control specific equipment. Each trooper was equipped with a repulsor-jet pack, which mounted a heavy blaster module, a grappling claw, and a supercharged taser. These highly maneuverable thruster packs enabled the troopers to fly at speeds up to 200 km per hour. However, the vehicles were also relatively quiet, which led to their occasional use by the Imperial Espionage Division.
