“As General Grievous closed in to deliver a deathblow, Obi-Wan Kenobi used the Force and brought the fallen blaster to his hand. Opening fire with the blaster the shots tore into General Grievous open carapace cracking the pressurized organ jar, igniting the preservative fluids and vital organs exploding in an oily blaze. Jets of fire spewed from the eyeholes of General Grievous’ helmet as he screamed in pain before collapsing onto the platform. Obi-Wan Kenobi tossing the blaster aside commenting to himself “How uncivilized” walked passed General Grievous’ artificial body, no longer driven by life, hatred or the compulsion to destroy.”

The Target Exclusive General Grievous - Demise of General Grievous action figure was created especially for Target to celebrate the release of the final episode in the Star Wars saga, Revenge of the Sith. The figure is packaged in the Saga 2006-style. The Card and Insert are reflective silver (as the Galactic Hunt figures) and incased in the protective plastic shell familiar with Target exclusive figures with the added Galactic Hunt foil sticker on the front. This figure was first spotted at some Super Target locations in early March of 2006 hanging with the regular basic Star Wars figures. If anyone tried to purchase the figure they would find  out at the register that it was not for sale that Hasbro was recalling the figure and it was taken away from that person. This made the few people who have found this figure extremely upset since they could not purchase this figure. The reason that Hasbro recalled the initial release of the General Grievous figures was that the figure was shipped without the protective plastic shell that is familiar with Target exclusive figures released to date.

The figure has a nice sculpt and a great paint job, but unfortunately he articulation is a bit weak. The head and shoulders have ball sockets and the legs bend at the waist with a knee joint. Other than that, the figure has a small amount of articulation. But for what this figure is, little articulation is needed for someone who is about to meet their doom. The little flame effect from the eyes is removable, whereas the flames around the chest area are not removable and are floating on the figure like a belt. This figure comes with two accessories: The electro-staff and the blaster for Obi-Wan Kenobi to shoot General Grievous. I think there should have been an included base with this figure since all of the basic line of Saga-2006 figures come with an included base. I believe that any General Grievous or Star Wars fan will want to add this scene specific figure to their collections.
