GEORGE LOOKS GOOD IN WHITE A Long Time Ago In A Galaxy Far, Far Away… Okay, not that long ago and in a nearby galaxy, ours. George Lucas created the beloved Star Wars universe. Hasbro, the maker of Star Wars toys is paying a second plastic tribute to George Lucas. This time, interpreting George Lucas as a limited-edition mail away action figure in Stormtrooper armor. Fans will recall the first George Lucas action figure was an exclusive at the Star Wars Celebration II held in Indianapolis, Indiana back in 2002. This figure was George Lucas in Rebel Pilot attire but the name was changed to Jorg Sacul (Lucas spelled backwards). The head of the toy maker's Star Wars division Derryl DePriest (and admitted lifelong Star Wars fan) called George Lucas "the greatest character in the universe. We took a cue from when Han Solo and Luke Skywalker disguised themselves as Storm Troopers. We placed George Lucas in his own universe that he created." George Lucas thought it was a "fun” idea, said Lucasfilm spokeswoman Lynne Hale. He laughed because he never imagined he'd be a Stormtrooper. The George Lucas in Stormtrooper disguise is only available to those participants in Hasbro's Ultimate Galactic Hunt. Star Wars fans must mail-in the five proofs of purchases (little silver stickers) of the five vintage Star Wars action figures (Greedo, Tusken Raider aka Sand Person, Luke Skywalker in X-Wing Pilot attire, Biker Scout, and Han Solo in Trench Coat) to get the George Lucas Stormtrooper action figure. The George Lucas figure takes the Stormtrooper from the POTF2 CommTech Line (1999 stamped on foot) and places the head of George Lucas (as he looked in 1977) on it. George Lucas comes with both a standard Imperial Blaster Rifle and removable Stormtrooper Helmet. The only thing missing that this figure should of come with is the silver Ultimate Galactic Hunt figure stand with George Lucas’ name printed on it.
