LOOKING GOOD IN
BLACK Anakin Skywalker born from the Force on the planet Tatooine grew up as a slave. Mechanically inclined and an expert at all things Anakin knew that he was something more than a simple slave boy on Tatooine. His mother Shmi also knew that her son was special. Befriended by Qui-Gon Jinn, Anakin was freed as a slave. Under the care and protection of Qui-Gon Jinn Anakin Skywalker was to be trained as a Jedi. After Qui-Gon Jinn fell at the hands of Darth Maul Obi-Wan Kenobi was granted by the Jedi Council to train Anakin Skywalker in the ways of the Jedi arts. Yoda forewarned Obi-Wan Kenobi that Anakin's future was clouded. Obi-Wan did not care; he made a promise to his fallen master Qui-Gon Jinn that he would continue Anakin Skywalker's Jedi training. Anakin Skywalker was thought to be the savior who was prophesized that would put an end to the Sith and bring back peace to the galaxy. As turmoil engulfed the galaxy during the transition from Republic to Empire, Anakin Skywalker fell to the dark side of the Force. Consumed by evil, Anakin abandoned his past and his humanity. He became Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith, apprentice to the evil Emperor Palpatine. His pure innocent self seemingly lost forever, Darth Vader cast a dark pall over the galaxy, as he was one of the foremost agents responsible for the elimination of the Jedi. This statue is a wonderful piece. The detailing of the sculpt is fantastic. The painting is superb. This Darth Vader statue stands on a simple gloss black base. Darth Vader is based on the "Revenge of the Sith" design with a pose that is all to familiar to the "Empire Strikes Back" when Darth Vader tells Luke Skywalker that he is his father. The Lightsaber is also based on the "Revenge of the Sith" design.
