INTRODUCTION
Well I now have the Ahsoka Tano lightsaber in my collection. As many of you know, I am a big prop freak. So getting the Ahsoka Tano lightsaber was a must for me. When you open the box, there is a cardboard insert on top telling what the item inside is, the Ahsoka Tano “Director’s Edition” lightsaber. When you pull out all of the boxes contents you are just amazed of the effort that went into the packaging of the item(s). Each little box or envelope is wrapped and secure in the foam inserts. It does take some time to take it all out and open it all up.

In the black envelope you have the pull and fold out card that has the blueprints of the lightsaber, a little info about the saber and more. Also enclosed are the registration card, stickers, and information on the International Wolf Center and of course the signature plaque with Dave Filoni’s signature. I got number 049 out of 574.

You have to put the lightsaber stand together. It is a black metal base where you slide in the two clear acrylic lightsaber stands into. Once put together you can slide the signature plaque into it to hold it. With the Lightsaber resting on top of the stand it does look nice. But wait there is more!

There is also the display base, which is brushed metal with a piece of clear acrylic on top of it with the Star Wars logo on it in the bottom right hand corner. Put the display stand on the base and the entire lightsaber display just pops, Boom!

Now for the lightsaber itself, it is the same as the prototype that we got to photograph and use at the start of this guide. Again thank you to eFX for allowing us to do so. For such a clean, streamlined lightsaber that resembles an old-fashioned clothespin the lightsaber itself looks fantastic. I think this is now an iconic lightsaber in the Star Wars universe that any fan should have in their collection.

The box that the lightsaber is in is a pull out box. Pull out the inside box and flip open the lid and you have Ahsoka’s lightsaber wrapped in plastic surround by foam. This is a very nice presentation box that the lightsaber is held in. Like I said a lot of effort has gone into the packaging of this item. Most of which will be put back into the shipping box and not seen again until you decide to pack up the lightsaber.

I for one as probably are many others are wondering what will happen to Ahsoka in the end? Will she be killed off, go into hiding or something else? To know that Ahsoka is not around during the formation of the Galactic Empire for reasons unknown to us at the moment is strange. What ever happens to her I wonder what will become of her lightsaber? Only Dave Filoni with the permission of George Lucas will let us know if he chooses to tell us in the Clone Wars animated series when the time comes.

The only thing that I find lacking with this piece is that it should have come with a cover to help protect and keep dust off of this piece. I will be getting one made for this piece.

I think eFX has hit a home run with this lightsaber and hope they choose to produce more in the future.
